Noxopharm is pleased to announce substantial progress on its Chroma™ technology platform, with encouraging brain cancer results plus early work on leukaemia. Glioblastoma is the most frequent and lethal type of brain cancer, accounting for two-thirds of all Australian brain cancers. Noxopharm and the University of South Australia are working on two novel preclinical drugs developed via Noxopharm’s Chroma platform. These drugs have been tested on an extensive biobank of patient-derived tumour explant organoids, a state-of-the-art glioblastoma explant model. The drugs significantly reduced the growth of these explants by an average of 75.94% and 75.87% versus the untreated controls. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g-mKpN5B

Noxopharm is pleased to announce its first in-human trial for SOF-SKN™, a novel drug candidate for autoimmune diseases. The trial is planned to start in early calendar year 2025 and provide proof of concept for the skin disease that is caused by cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE). The first in-human trial will be known as HERACLES (for ‘Harnessing Endogenous Regulators Against CLE Study’) and will take place in Australia to capitalise on Australian expertise in lupus research and early phase clinical trials. Noxopharm has announced encouraging new data regarding its CRO-67 preclinical drug for pancreatic cancer, which targets the disease in a different and innovative way. Pancreatic cancer is especially difficult to treat because tumours are surrounded by a dense barrier of cells that protects them from anti-cancer drugs, as well as from the body’s immune system. The new results arise from a highly sophisticated study that tested CRO-67 in a complex model, and had three major results: ·      Significant decrease in tumour volume growth rate ·      Significant decrease in barrier cells ·      Significant reduction in cancer spread Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gp7QapHd
