Intersection 27 August - 3 September Opening Night 27 August 6-8pm Feat musician: @pinky.ring 'Intersection' is a vibrant, emotive and playful body of work consisting of cartoon-like drawings and abstract paintings, which distill the artist's fascination with the places where lives converge and diverge, with references to his home city of Sydney, his own experiences of situations, emotions and people in his surroundings. Through 'Intersection', Kyle invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences of connection and disconnection, exploring the ways in which our lives intersect with those around us, and the unexpected beauty that can emerge from these moments of convergence. Kyle Wilkinson is a 27-year-old Sydney-based artist whose vibrant, emotive yet playful works capture the essence of life's everyday moments and people. With a passion for storytelling, Kyle uses his art as a means to explore his own mental landscape and invite others to reflect on their own, while also incorporating humour and themes of popular culture as well as Australian culture. His bold, expressive brushstrokes, vivid colours and cartoon-like drawings evoke the turbulent nature of the human mind, while his wry humour injects a sense of resilience and hope. Through his art, Kyle invites viewers to join him on a journey of self-discovery, exploring the complexities of the human experience and the beauty that can be found in its messiness. PINKYRING Born and raised in Sydney with Indigenous roots (Kamilaroi). Love good music, obsessed with lyrics. Hooked on the feeling of creating and performing. Songs about the ups and downs of life, struggles, and the human spirit. Pleasure and pain, sunshine and rain. https://lnkd.in/gtJHnaSj

"The secret life of figurines..." Pleasance Ingle 13 - 25 August Opening Night: 13 August 6-8pm Artist Talk 17 August 12 Noon Guest Musician: Henry Manuell "At first, when I started to notice and muse about these porcelain figurines, what I saw was a rich kitsch of magnified feminine charm, trussed in corsets and crinolines, courted by visions of equally artificial male gallantry. "It wasn’t until I started painting the images and rediscovering the lyrics of Leonard Cohen, that the figurines began to reveal another kind of drama, their distorted shadows, their knowing gazes, their other stories." @pleasance_ingle read more: https://lnkd.in/gJdA-q2P

Pursuing Light - Emily Lane 30 July - 6 August Opening Night 30 July 6-8pm “My first memory is of light — the brightness of light — light all around.” ― Georgia O’Keeffe Emily Lane presents her first solo exhibition with a heartfelt dedication to capturing a diverse array of subjects, ranging from landscapes to figurative art. Throughout her artistic journey, Lane has been captivated by the nuances of light, whether natural or infused with dramatic intensity. Her work resonates most powerfully when she delves into themes of honesty and the restless quest for the intangible—the spiritual and unattainable. For Lane, illumination serves as a metaphor encapsulating her perpetual pursuit, positioning her as a perpetual student dedicated to mastering the nuances of light. @emily_lane_artist

. Doors Of Perception 16 -23 July Opening Night 16 July 6-8pm Doors of Perception is an exhibition of paintings made while questioning ideas around our perception of reality. Experimenting with accessing the infinite source of creativity to transcend our limited beliefs systems and perceptions of ourselves and the universe. Creativity is a something I can use to create my own reality, a tool for self- exploration into the unknown realms of my psychology and of others and the universe. In my painting I take an experimental often risky approach, looking for surprises in unknown territories. In my painting I’ve been thinking in terms of energy, vibration and frequencies and documenting moments in time making the unseen seen. Painting is like visual music. @glennstanleyflynn
