This Global Recycling Day we want to recognise one of our wonderful partners who supports us collect and recycle our customer’s unwanted tech through our Bring it Back program – Australia and New Zealand Recycling Platform (ANZRP) ♻️   ANZRP is a Certified B Corporation and not for profit, providing Australian households with an easy way to responsibly dispose of and recycle their unwanted tech.   We have partnered with ANZRP since 2018. Last year alone we collected and recycled more than 1,000 tonnes of unwanted tech items.   Officeworks Circular Economy Lead, Jordan O'Connor, said: “ANZRP is a fantastic partner to work with as its approach and standards go well and truly beyond what is required as part of the National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme (NTCRS). This means we can be ambitious and push each other to think innovatively about recycling solutions to reduce not only our customers’ impact on the environment, but also our impact as a business.”   “Recycling technology plays an important role in recovering valuable materials such as copper, gold and aluminium that can be used in new products, reducing the need for mining virgin materials. We are grateful for the talented team at ANZRP and all our other recycling partners who help us make bigger things happen for the planet.”   For more information about our People & Planet Positive goals and progress, view our latest report: https://lnkd.in/gcVhZV8A Pictured: Nicole from Endeavour Foundation, one of our recycling partners managed by ANZRP.   #Officeworks #PeoplePlanetPositive #GlobalRecyclingDay #ANZRP #EndeavourFoundation 💚

  • Our Half Yearly Update roadshow toured the country recently, bringing our team members together to reflect on our first half performance and reset for the second half. The annual events provide a fantastic opportunity to connect with each other, celebrate our progress and recognise team members for their efforts and achievements, as well as refocus on the plan and priorities for the next six months. We were also treated to some seriously inspirational sessions with Australian Paralympians and all-round legends Beau Vernon and Darren Hicks. They each provided a humbling perspective on life and resilience, giving us all so much to think about and apply to our lives. #Officeworks 💙

  • With International Women’s Day just around the corner, we’ve teamed up with Smart Commercial Solar and Australian Women in Solar Energy - AWISE to launch the world’s first all-women-led commercial solar project. Setting a powerful precedent for gender diversity in the energy industry, the entire process of this initiative—from analysis and project management to engineering and performance monitoring—will be led exclusively by female professionals. The project will take place at Officeworks Bundoora in Victoria, featuring a 96kW rooftop solar system— 16 times the size of an average home system. Officeworks Head of Property Kylie Brockett said: “We are incredibly proud to be part of this initiative. With Australia targeting 82 per cent renewable energy by 2030, this project aims to highlight the breadth of career opportunities available, inspire more women to enter the industry, and contribute to its rapid expansion.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gaj8MbRY #Officeworks #PeoplePlanetPositive #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 Kylie Brockett Alex White Lauren Hamilton Molly Barr Lily Pejkic Kathryn Hoogesteger Sophie Wright CPA GAICD

  • The amazing team at our Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in Queensland joined forces with DB Schenker Redbank over our busy trade period to bring mental health front-and-centre and raise funds for TIACS. Amid the hustle and bustle of Black Friday, Christmas and Back to School, the team not only sparked important conversations, but also managed to raise $1,644 for TIACS - a free phone and text counselling service offering mental health support to Australia’s blue-collar community. Jason Banks, Co-Ceo at TIACS, said: “Officeworks' generosity and commitment to mental health made a real difference, we are so grateful for your support. Thank you for standing with us and helping to ensure that tradies, truckies, farmers, and blue-collar workers have access to free, professional counselling when they need it most.” Well done to everyone involved! #Officeworks 💙

  • You may recall us talking to one of our very talented team members, Georgia Courage-Gardiner, just before heading over to Paris to compete in Artistic Swimming in the Olympic Games last year. Now that the dust has settled, Georgia reflects on her experience and her team’s results: “The Olympics will always be one of the best experiences as an athlete. It’s the pinnacle of sport, so it was an honor to represent my country knowing I’m competing with the best of the best.” “Our team ended up scoring personal bests for 5/6 of our routines, which is a huge feat. We placed 9th overall so we’re all extremely proud of our work. It was made even more special by the fact my parents and partner were able to be there in the crowd to cheer us on.” After a solid 18 months training away from home in Perth in the lead up to the games, Georgia travelled for a month around Europe and has since moved home to Queensland. Congratulations on your incredible achievements over in Paris, Georgia, we are so proud of you! The team at our Nerang store in Queensland are super happy to have you back in the fold there! #Officeworks 💚💛
