Cargo certainty. Done safely. Without delay. OMSB is a privately-owned, bespoke project port in Onslow, Western Australia. We streamline marine logistics for onshore and offshore industries including decommissioning, energy and bulk logistics, and project, general and containerised cargo. We offer integrated infrastructure and services from channel to back stack and guarantee priority passage to minimise non-productive time. Put simply: if you booked it, the berth is yours. As a carbon-neutral port, we’re enabling sustainable supply chains in North Western Australia, and ultimately, contributing to meaningful decarbonisation of the resource industry. We’ve optimised our channel depth, width and the turning circle to accommodate all types of vessels safely and efficiently. Key infrastructure features include 277m land backed wharf, 31,000m2 port storage and 15 hectares of support land. And, as a security regulated port, we support both domestic and international trade.

We were pleased to welcome back Saipem to our facility in Onslow this week. Our riggers installed a tandem lifting rigging arrangement to a module onboard their PSV 'Go Aurelia' before it continued its journey. OMSB is committed to minimising vessel downtime, and we utilised our local supply chain to have the 'Go Aurelia' in and out within hours.

ONE town, TWO ports. OMSB is proud to be delivering stevedoring services at the Port of Ashburton, making OMSB the only residentially-based stevedoring provider for the Onslow region. The ability to deliver services at our facility at Beadon Creek and the Port of Ashburton allows greater flexibility for our clients across vessels, cargo and schedules. It is a pleasure to currently be working with Van Oord Australia, loading their impressive vessel, the ‘Bravenes’ photographed here.

OMSB is proud to have both our Beadon Creek facility and the Port of Ashburton acknowledged as decommissioning hubs for the Northwest. Our operations and service providers cover both locations, making OMSB the perfect solution to support a wide range of campaign activity from Onslow.
We're excited to release the much-anticipated "Western Australia Decommissioning Hub Location Study," a comprehensive #study conducted to identify optimal sites for the establishment of a #decommissioning receival and dismantling yard for #offshore #oilandgas assets along the Western Australian coast. As part of our commitment to fostering the growth of Australia's domestic oil and gas decommissioning industry, this study supports the Government of Western Australia's vision of creating a sustainable and thriving decommissioning industry in the region. The study has summarised the evaluation of potential sites on the Western Australian coast that would be suitable, concluding that: - A significant decommissioning liability is associated with onshore disposal. - Multiple locations along the WA coast are deemed suitable for onshore decommissioning facilities. - A multi-facility approach is recommended to address diverse market needs. - Recovery of pipelines is geographically viable, with considerations for separate handling of fixed assets. - Overlapping specifications suggest collaboration with offshore wind staging and decommissioning sites for a dual-use facility. - Continued support from government bodies and industry stakeholders is crucial for the success of the local decommissioning market. OMSB welcomes the commencement of a major offshore decommissioning project in the Onslow region, with the first major lift of the campaign being successfully completed yesterday. The safe lift, using an 800 tonne crawler crane, is a clear demonstration of the heavy lift capability now available at the OMSB facility as we prepare for larger and more complex lifts to come.
