About us
We are a community kitchen with the “soul” purpose of bringing people and their communities closer together. We create an environment which marries people who want to contribute their time and services to those in need. Our aim is to facilitate companies and organisations to contribute to communities, whilst allowing them to grow and develop their teams and employees through corporate social awareness programs. Getting tired of the same old team building initiatives? Had enough of white water rafting, camping and other extreme sports? Well we have a new and fantastic way for you to create a sense of cohesiveness and togetherness with your employees or colleagues. There is no better way to bring unity to a group and allow them to work as a team than letting them cook together! We can design a program to suit your needs. Our Big Kitchen can provide a facility for your team building or social responsibility program. It’s fun, interactive and a great opportunity for teams to learn about role sharing, contribution and the benefits of working together. Yesterday the ServiceNow ANZ Leadership team had the opportunity to visit Our Big Kitchen to help prepare meals for those in need, along with NSW Ambulance. Our Big Kitchen produces and distributes over 250,000 meals annually, supporting more than 30 charity organizations and providing vital assistance to the homeless. It’s ServiceNow’s Month of Service, and while anytime is good to lend a hand, right now it feels like everyone could use a bit of assistance. Being able to provide a hot meal to someone who might not have eaten in a couple of days feels like a small (but meaningful) gesture. And guess what … “Winner, winner, sweet potato dinner!” 🏆 Our amazing team of Kate Tulp Anandjeet Singh Moez Nomanbhoy Lachlan SJ Ko took out the prize for the best meal 🥘 Thank you also to Lydia Ristic and Barry Dietrich for planning and organizing such a worthwhile experience!

🌟 Uplifting and helping those in need 🌟 Our amazing team from Terumo Australia gave time to volunteer at the community-run Our Big Kitchen (OBK). Along with Atlassian and Mercer we crafted, cooked and packaged over 300 meals for some of the most vulnerable in our community. OBK is a community run, non-denominational, industrial kitchen where meals are prepared for daily distribution to the homeless and disadvantaged across Sydney. This experience reinforced a powerful truth: a small act of kindness can make a significant impact in someone’s life.
