PainChek continues its strong growth in the UK, with over 39,000 licensed beds across more than 1,000 care facilities—representing a 103% increase from last year. Some of PainChek’s recently implemented larger UK clients include: - Oakland Care – 1,000 beds across 10 homes following a successful pilot in one of its services, where over 20,000 pain assessments were conducted over 6 months. A significant reduction in pain was identified during this time period, and several case studies captured showed how PainChek® data influenced care and treatment plans. - Berkley Care Group – 800 beds over 12 care homes. Did you know that pain can be under-reported and inadequately managed in up to 80% of older adults with cognitive impairment? In Canada, around 87% of residents in #longtermcare live with cognitive impairment, and there are considerable challenges in assessing their pain levels. It was a pleasure to co-present with Danielle Cruise (PhD Candidate at Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa), at the AGE-WELL NCE Inc. Annual Conference, the results of an ongoing study at Perley Health on the implementation and evaluation of an AI-enabled technology (PainChek) for pain assessment through facial scan and screening questions. #AgeTech #Innovation #AGEWELL #research #longtermcare
