🤔 Simple, right?! "Our kids are counting on us," Parents for Climate spokesman Nic Seton said. "Australia should be leading the world in building clean energy and upgrading polluting industries to build the brightest, safest future." ☀ 🌱 🌏 https://lnkd.in/eFEYhkkU #netzero2035 #globalleader #cleanenergy #ourkidsarecountingonus

📰 Great news! EnergyAustralia - Australia’s third largest carbon polluter 🏭 - has 🛑 stopped selling polluting gas and electricity as “carbon neutral” to new customers. ✅ We’ve won one of our demands - part of our ongoing court case against EnergyAustralia’s misleading and deceptive climate claims. This means less #greenwashing and more integrity in marketing climate impacts. This win wouldn’t be possible without support like yours 🙌 . Companies are getting wise to the risks of #greenwashing thanks to increased public scrutiny from our legal case and campaign. EnergyAustralia is still misleading its current Go Neutral customers. And until we go to court, we can't guarantee that EnergyAustralia won’t restart its “carbon neutral” product in the future. Love this! A clear and constructive illustration of industry transition pathways 💚🦺 With so many #OffshoreWind projects in the pipeline, now is the time for workers employed in traditional fossil fuel-based industries to start considering their training and re-skilling pathways.
The most detailed and practical 'coal worker to offshore wind' workforce transition document I've EVER seen! Share amongst your coal worker friends, but also really useful for orgs who are looking to encourage more people looking to move into renewable energy development more broadly. We'll be attending this to talk to educators about 😎 the benefits of rooftop solar for early childhood services; 🚧 the barriers too many services are facing to access those benefits; and 🤝 how we can work together to get governments to help remove those obstacles Looks like an amazing conference, and we can't wait to attend!
