Founded by Charlie Boyce in 2011, Portobello PR is a multi-platform agency that works long term with clients to strategically build and grow their brand, audience and market share.     Last week, we had the pleasure of working with the incredible BYOMA team to launch the brand down under, celebrating its launch at SEPHORA with an immersive week of activations and events for media, KOLS and consumers to land brand BYOMA in Australia. We kicked off our tour with a series of exclusive media 1:1s with BYOMA founder Marc Elrick, giving press an in-depth look at the brand’s science-backed skincare range and innovative product lineup. The next morning, we hosted an intimate influencer brunch at the iconic Icebergs Dining Room and Bar in Bondi, where top tier beauty and skincare creators and members of the Sephora Squad enjoyed a sit-down breakfast with Marc, with every detail reflecting the brand’s bold and colourful ethos. Meanwhile, outside Icebergs, our beloved BYOMA mascots were in action throughout Bondi, handing out samples to beachgoers and passersby at our custom BYOMA trike. From Bondi, we headed straight to House of Sephora, where across two days, we engaged with media, influencers, VIP Sephora customers, and makeup artists, immersing them in the world of BYOMA. Front and centre at the entrance, our vibrant stand, expertly brought to life by Studio Messa, ensured maximum impact upon guests arrival. To wrap up the week, we activated in-store at Sephora locations across Pitt Street, Miranda, Parramatta, and Melbourne Central, continuing our sampling efforts and education with consumers, with the BYOMA mascots making special appearances. As a result, we achieved the following in our first week alone: 💛 Top tier media coverage with the likes of 7NEWS Australia, DailyMail.com Cosmopolitan Australia, Retail Beauty BEAUTY/crew, WHO Magazine and many more in week one alone, with many more to follow! 💛 Over 40 million impressions 💛 Established quality relationships with Australian editors and KOLs on behalf of the brand A huge thank you to our amazing suppliers, partners, and the BYOMA team for making this launch one to remember!     I am excited to share that I have been promoted to Account Executive + Showroom Manager at PORTOBELLO PR!  I cannot wait to continue learning within my new position and thought I would share some of my favourite experiences over the last year and a half. // - AFW x Crocs: Ahead of AFW, Crocs hosted an exclusive seeding suite, where media, stylists, and KOLs hand-picked their favourite styles before stepping into the spotlight. Our photographers captured standout street style moments, landing features in Vogue, Refinery29, Harper’s BAZAAR, Grazia, and The Sydney Morning Herald. Crocs also made a statement on the runway, teaming up with designer ‘Speed’ for a bold showcase at the Sydney Aquarium. - Portobello PR Showings: Over two days in October 2024, Portobello welcomed over 140 media and influencers to the Holiday Showings at III Rooms Potts Point. The space was transformed into an immersive brand experience, fostering conversations around affiliate marketing, native content, and editorial collaborations while offering an exclusive look at exciting upcoming launches. - Rare Beauty Pop-Up: In partnership with Sephora, Rare Beauty took over Sydney’s CBD with a must-visit pop-up. Over several days, the event connected press, influencers, Sephora Beauty Advisors, VIP customers, and the Rare Beauty community, bringing fans closer to the brand in an interactive experience. - Crocs Fest: Sydney’s CBD came alive with Crocs Fest, a high-energy, immersive celebration of individuality, creativity, and self-expression! Over 400 guests, including top media, athletes, models, influencers and community groups joined in for live DJ sets, a playful photo booth, fro-yo, bubble tea, and Jibbitz-inspired nail art and hair braiding, making for an unforgettable day of creativity. - Bydee SuperYacht: Bydee set sail on Sydney Harbour for an exclusive, sun-soaked afternoon aboard the ‘Mischief’ SuperYacht. Media and influencers celebrated the start of summer while capturing dreamy moments of Bydee’s latest swimwear, resort wear, and charms collection ‘Opa’ against a stunning harbour bridge backdrop. - HEYDUDE Australia Launch: HEYDUDE made a bold entrance into the Australian market with a launch party featuring a live DJ, cocktails, and curated product displays. Over 170 media, influencers, stylists, and KOLs got the first peek at HEYDUDE’s iconic SS25 lightweight, form-fitting footwear collection. - Vans x Premium Old Skool Music Collection: Teaming up with Vans, PPR hosted an exclusive event to unveil the 'Premium Old Skool Music Collection', bringing music, style, and culture together. With over 150 guests, including key influencers, media, and industry VIPs experiencing the new collection firsthand!

  • We are so proud to have partnered with Summer Fridays on this activation to deliver their iconic brand experience to Australians, with a beachside pop up at Bondi Beach that welcomed thousands of consumers over the first weekend of February. With thanks to Studio Messa for bringing the Creative Production to life, the sun-soaked pop up captured the essence of Australian summer - with Summer Fridays merch and complimentary deluxe samples, free gelato scoops in collaboration with Messina, a vintage Jet Lag car and Summer Fridays postcards for guests to take home. The pop-up was buzzing with Summer Fridays and MECCA Brands fans, with thousands of visitors across both days and a very excited queue - generating maximum hype on social media via organic posts, and garnering international attention. Alongside this, we also teamed up with Harry's Bondi to launch a limited-edition Summer Fridays Mango Guava Summer Smoothie, on sale until the end of February (and it's a must-try - plus, every smoothie comes with a free deluxe size Jet Lag Mask!)   • Throwback to Crocs Fest 2024 - where we worked with Crocs to bring the fun to Sydney's CBD on November 28th with a vibrant, immersive brand experience celebrating individuality, creativity, and the freedom to express your true self. Over 400 guests attended the pop-up space, receiving a pair of Crocs to personalise on the da to show off their own personal style. The day was filled with music by local DJs, a fun photo booth, delicious fro-yo and bubble tea, along with Jibbitz-inspired nail art and Jibbitz-inspired hair braiding.   • Last month, we partnered with Rare Beauty on their Australian press trip - hosting two very exciting activations in market to engage with press, influencers and consumers alike. The trip kicked off with Rare Beauty's first-ever mental health retreat in Australia, at Osborn House in the Southern Highlands. We invited an intimate group of 12 key influencers to join Rare Beauty for a two-night stay in honour of World Mental Health Day on October 10th, with 100% of Rare Beauty sales at SEPHORA that day donated to the Rare Impact Fund. During their stay, guests enjoyed a curated itinerary with activities that were designed to reset and recharge them (think pilates, spa treatments, cake decorating, forest bathing and soundbowl healing). Lasting memories were created and important conversations were had around mental health, with a fireside chat hosted by Rare Beauty EVP of Social Impact & Inclusion, Elyse Cohen, and batyr, the Australian charity partner of the Rare Impact Fund. The following week, we launched the Rare Beauty #TrueToMyself pop-up in Sydney, in partnership with SEPHORA to celebrate the launch of the True To Myself Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder - with a curated journey of self-expression, connection and discovery. Held at a space in Sydney's CBD (with Creative Production with the amazing team at Studio Messa), the 4 day pop-up was designed to engage with press, influencers, Sephora Beauty Advisors & Beauty Pass Gold tier members, Rare Beauty community members and the general public. Key activations included a smoothie bar, photo booth, #RareReminder wall, express makeovers & product shade-matching by Sephora MUAs, games, giveaways, and gift bags for each attendee. To launch the 4 day pop-up, we hosted a VIP party for press and influencers where they immersed themselves in all things Rare Beauty as they enjoyed cocktails and canapes - guests were also treated to personalised jewellery by Alana Maria Jewellery. The space then opened up to the general public over the weekend, with queues of hundreds of excited consumers in attendance both days - who were able to shop Rare Beauty with exclusive discounts and GWPs from Sephora. There were also exclusive masterclasses hosted by Rare Beauty’s Global Lead MUA, Cynthia Di Meo, for Sephora Gold Tier members and the Rare Beauty community.
