It was a special R U OK? Day in the PTG Group head office today, with visitors from around our group and the country. PTG Consulting General Manager Sarah Lambert, CPEng, GAICD was in town this week from Perth and gave a lovely talk to our people, reminding them of the importance of asking R U OK? every day. Sarah’s speech reminded us that even when someone says they’re “all good,” there could be more going on beneath the surface. If you know someone well, it's important to dig a little deeper to understand how they’re really feeling. Our PTG Group Graduate Program has a heavy focus on internal education. What does this mean? Our grads take part in an education series from experts around our business. From legal to engineering and specialised testing, in our eyes, the more our people understand our businesses, the better advocates they are for all the great things they and their colleagues do! Some of our grads made the trip to Precision Geotechnical Services to meet Chris Channon and Brendon Watson and better understand what specialised testing is, how the equipment works and how it can help on their projects. They were also extra lucky to have a short education session from João Machado from our lab equipment supplier, Geocomp, Inc. and GeoTesting Express, LLC who was visiting Australia. There was lots of great discussion and interesting questions asked from our grads and everyone left the afternoon with a better understanding of the highly specialised tests the Precision Geotechnical Services provide. We're looking forward to our grads continuing their learning from our internal experts around PTG Consulting, Mapstone Geotechnical Services and Protest. MS Queensland's Brissy to the Bay is an annual bike ride that takes riders through the city's vibrant cycling routes. Dubbed 'The Ride to Fight MS', riders unite to raise vital funds for Multiple Sclerosis which can affect the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerve and impacts more young people in Australia than any other chronic neurological disease. Two of our engineers from PTG Consulting saddled up yesterday to take on the 130km challenge. Daniel Vanderpeet and José Abundo zipped up their PTG Group kit and made the 5-hour round-trip journey from South Bank out to the bayside suburbs, along the water at Wynnum and Redland Bay and back, crossing the finish line at Musgrave Park. Daniel and José successfully raised money for the ride and look forward to participating again next year. Their legs feel a little worse for wear today, but they're chuffed with their effort and for contributing to such a worthy cause! 🚴♂️💪 #BrissyToTheBay #FightMS #GrowWithPTG

It's great to see our Precision Geotechnical Services team educating others in the industry about their specialised testing methods. They are one of only a few National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) accredited laboratories in Australia that provide this kind of specialised, in-depth testing for large industrial, commercial and mining projects.
