Q4 Electrical and Communications

Project Award – We are pleased to share our formal engagement to deliver the Electrical and Communications package at the new Somerton Intermodal Terminal (SiT) by Acciona.   The 45 hectare terminal will be Australia's largest when complete and each year is set to process over one million twenty-foot units. Significantly, SiT will take 500,000 truck trips off inner-Melbourne's roads, the equivalent to 451 million truck kilometres and reduce carbon emissions by 189,000 tonnes.   We are proud to be part of the team that is bringing Victoria to the forefront of rail distribution.   Welcome Jordan Busuttil to the Q4 Team!    Jordy joins us in a project coordinator and estimating capacity following his 4 year electrical apprenticeship. He showed great understanding and excelled throughout. When he expressed an interest in learning how we deliver projects from an office perspective, we were more than happy to oblige! Here's to the next phase of his career. 

We are delighted to share that we have been recognised for our contributions to the career and skills progression of apprentices & trainees by being presented with the 'Medium Host Employer of the year' award by NECA Education and Careers. Our General Manager Simon West was there to collect the award for the team.   Congratulations to all the other winners and finalists, it was a privilege to be part of such a special event.   Here's to our continued partnership with NECA Education & Careers.

Project Award – New Parkdale Station. We are pleased to share we will deliver electrical, communications and associated civil works on this exceptional project. The new elevated rail bridge and station will provide locals with first class facilitates and remove two dangerous and congested levels crossings, changing how Parkdale locals live, work and travel. The level crossings will be gone for good later this year and the project will be completed in 2025. We are so proud to be part of the Level Crossing Removal Project work which is making Victoria’s rail network one of the safest and best in Australia. Simon West
