This week we were proud to celebrate #NAIDOC Week and the rich heritage, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with a range of events across our Australian offices and shopping centres. Staff across QIC heard from two former Australian Olympians, Bianca Broadhurst OLY and Beki Smith OLY during an online panel session exploring allyship, lived experiences and cultural insights. At our #Brisbane office, our people had the opportunity to drop in and contribute to an artwork created by artist Nathaniel Chapman, a proud Goenpul / Yuggara man of North Stradbroke Island / Brisbane City. Meanwhile, our QIC Real Estate shopping centres hosted a range of community-focused activities, including dance performances, cooking demonstrations, Welcome to Country ceremonies and smoking ceremonies. #Keepthefireburning #NAIDOC2024
