  • Well done team REVERT GROUP and Planet Protector Packaging 👏🏽

The circular economy ♻️ is an opportunity to push boundaries and innovation in our construction industry whilst developing strong partnerships and sustainable relationships. A true example is our collaboration with Planet Protector Packaging utilising polyester wall insulation removed during make good and defit demolition projects. Insulation is traditionally sent to landfill 👎🏽. Something we can easily change. 🤔 REVERT GROUP circular design principles enable us to shift and develop sustainable pathways in the Fit-out industry. This shift has come to reality via our recent collaboration and R&D with Planet Protector utilising redundant insulation from a multi floor tenancy make good and repositioning project sourced from 111 Bourke St into a cradle to cradle sustainable product resulting in diversion of circa 100m3 of landfill space. “Insulation is light in weight but has a large footprint”. We are looking forward to our long term partnership with Planet Protector as our sustainable pathway partner and intergrating this material back in new circular fitout projects. 🚀 Moqeet Abdul Hai, PhD Joanne Howarth ALD Expert Demo Buildcorp Charter Hall Deepak Serchan Maddy Gupta Manhari Recycling #sustainability #circulardesignprinciples #greenstar #sustainabledefit #sustainablemakegood #construction #fitout

  • Kicking off 2025 with a wonderful feature in The Construction Source Australia where our co-founder Paul Rosenberg Vella had the opportunity to talk about the origins of our company, our industry leading approach to waste and how we are challenging the status quo when it comes to material disposal. “It’s not just about reducing waste,” “It’s about changing the way contractors and businesses think about material disposal. We are creating a shift in mindset, one that embraces the principles of sustainability, resourcefulness, and Circularity.’’ Paul Rosenberg Vella said. From our data led approach that is helping clients address mandatory climate reporting to how we deal with waste on site take a read for some interesting insights into our business! We are proud to announce that REVERT GROUP will be joining Victorian innovator Manhari Group as part of a strategic acquisition that marks an exciting new chapter for both businesses. By combining Revert’s proven expertise in extending the lifecycle of materials through circular economy solutions for commercial and refurbishment projects with Manhari’s industry leadership and scale, we are creating a partnership built to drive innovation, enhance operational excellence, and unlock significant growth opportunities in the circular economy. Through joining Manhari Group, we have a collective ambition to unlock further circular global solutions, which will see increased focus on research and development. Materials of interest for recycling include solar panels, glass lithium, mineral fibre, E-waste and tyres, with a heightened focus on solar farms, which we anticipate will garner significant interest within the Government and Tier 1 sector due to Scope 3 and other mandatory legislative reporting requirements which are coming into play from January 1, 2025. Our aim is to build on years of dedication and discipline of both companies’ existing infrastructure, know-how, intellectual property, customer base and unlock an additional $25 million uplift to the Group. Through the shared vision of MANHARI Group and REVERT Group, we will ensure that recycling outcomes continue to exceed 90%, while contributing to the innovation of recycling and reuse in the construction, manufacturing and demolition industries. Founded in 2007 by Maddy Gupta Manhari Group has grown to become a household name in Victoria’s metal recycling industry. Starting with local scrap metal drop-offs and industrial pickups, the company rapidly expanded to serve businesses and councils across the state. Today, Manhari is one of Victoria’s leading exporters of recycled metals supplying major manufacturing hubs across 20 countries. Strategically joining Manhari Group marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Revert Group with co founder Paul Rosenberg Vella remaining as director as well as expanding into other areas of stratergy and development within the Manhari Group. Co Founder Deepak Serchan will continue to support the growth of the business with the NSW region. It’s our vision to be leaders in the industry, innovating best practice in recycling and reporting. By combining our expertise and resources, we are better positioned to deliver high-quality recycling solutions that contribute to a sustainable future. We look forward to what the future holds for our companies and the industries we serve. At REVERT GROUP we are passionate about forming long term partnerships. When we can be involved in a project from the pre-demolition phase it allows us to audit and manage waste, creating a transparent Recycling Pathway strategy specific to each project. One of our latest partnerships with IFM Investors saw 8 tonnes of waste diverted from landfill when 900m 2 of flooring was installed. Textile and glass waste from a previous fit-out was used in Noveco Surfaces crystalline-silica free floor tiles, thanks to a design collaboration process between IFM Investors, Facilitate Corporation, Hassell and Renascent to create this bespoke tile. We are very proud to be able to implement our 3R Principles Strategy; Recycle, Redivert, Revert unlocking and transforming the waste elements from site inventory and materials through sustainable manufacturing methods, to bring waste back to life in the form of new materials and in new products which can be used for future projects. Co-founder & CEO at Critical. | Startmate Accelerator S22 Alumni | TEDx Speaker | I help designers create beautiful spaces using 100% recycled plastic panels called Cleanstone.

Through mainstream recycling, NZ and Australia recycle only 2-3 out of 24 plastics types. Approximately 84% of Australian plastics end up in landfill and NZ sends up to 330T of plastics into our whenua, every year. One of the challenges as to why this is happening is because of the technology available that can make use of mixed and contaminated plastics, not just the 1's, 2's and 5's. Since the start of this year Critical., in partnership with Paul Rosenberg Vella at REVERT GROUP, have been doing a lot of materials R&D to transform hard to recycled plastics like Polycarbonate and ABS and rubber contaminated plastics into Cleanstone, and the results are ... beautiful. Check it out. And with Australia's ban on building materials (with NZ to follow) with toxic ingredients like Silica, we're working together to bring better choices and better selections of building materials for designers. One that will reduce waste to landfill for the construction industry while lowering the carbon emissions. The impact? Imagine stunning, high-performance recycled plastic panels called Cleanstone made from materials previously destined for landfill. This translates to: More Sustainable Fit-Out Options: Designers gain access to a wider range of beautiful, environmentally responsible materials for retail, hospitality, and commercial projects. Reduced Reliance on Virgin Plastics: This collaboration significantly contributes to the circular economy by keeping valuable resources in use. Future-Proofing Your Designs: Embrace the growing demand for sustainable solutions and meet client expectations for eco-conscious spaces. Here's how you can start designing with sustainability in mind: 1. Plan for Deconstruction at Day One: Consider how your design facilitates the disassembly and reuse of materials at the end of a project's lifecycle. 2. Embrace Transparency: Ask your suppliers about the origin and recyclability of materials. Choose those with high recycled content. 3. Design for Longevity: Opt for durable, high-quality materials like recycled plastic panels from reputable sources. If your working on a sustainable fit out in Australia, Revert Group can help provide a fully circular pathway for construction waste to be turned into beautiful materials like Cleanstone so you can leave a legacy that will make your grandchildren proud. #CriticalDesign #RevertGroup #SustainableMaterials #RecycledPlasticPanels #CircularEconomy #FitOut #Retail #Hospitality #Commercial #DesignForSustainability
