We've always wanted to capture the stars at these incredibly remote mine sites! And Prominent Hill was literally made for it. A clear night with no moon and a viewing platform for looking at the stars. How good!
Located 650 kilometers north-west of Adelaide, South Australia, Prominent Hill is part of our Minerals Australia operation, which produces one of the highest grades of copper concentrate in the world! It's made up of underground and surface operations, located on the beautiful traditional lands of the Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara people. It also has its own star gazing platform, where you can grab some binoculars and relax underneath the stars ⭐ (thanks again to the wonderful Rift Photography for capturing this one)

A stunning evening at Lamonts for WIMWA (Women in Mining and Resources WA )
Women in Mining and Resources WA (WIMWA) Networking, Mentoring, Advocating and Informing.
We had a great turn out for our mid-year mentoring program sundowner. this is the launch event for our second program and the celebration of the culmination of the first program. We have successfully matched over 1500 mentees in total in the years since the program began, and this July we added another 58 mentees to this special alumni group. A huge thank you to our two program sponsors AngloGold Ashanti and Rio Tinto. A very special thank you to Megan McCracken for taking the mentees, and new mentors on a journey together through our unique induction process. A shoutout to the wonderful Megan Batchelor who shared her mentee journey. We thank KPMG Australia for the use of their facility to host our networking lunch and the training session. Some great new mentors have been launched in this intake a few returning mentees like Annaliese Eames who was a mentee way back in 2016, and Kassandra Nofz, along with several new mentors Ann Perkins, Ivan Vella, Sam Parsi, Paul Kline, Jane Macey, and the welcome return of a mentor Sarah Russell.
