Turning waste into wanted

About us

Turning waste into wanted. Rino Recycling is a whole new beast in resource recovery, combining years of experience with innovative thinking and processes to revolutionise construction and demolition waste handling in Queensland. At Rino Recycling, we RECLAIM construction and demolition waste, REFINE it in our world-first facility, and produce end products for REUSE on the job site. In doing so we are taking a pivotal role in propelling South-East Queensland’s shift towards a true circular economy and contributing to Australia’s Net Zero ambitions. With the capacity to recycle over 1.5 million tonnes of waste annually and a 97% recovery rate, Rino is charging ahead to become Queensland’s leading recycled construction materials producer, providing a quality alternative to virgin quarried material like road base, aggregates and sand. The future is recycled.

♻️ Driving sustainable outcomes with Abyss Demolition We were proud to support Abyss Demolition on their recent project at Eagle Farm, where they removed 1,900 tonnes of clean concrete, asphalt, and construction & demolition (C&D) materials. Together, we achieved an impressive 95+% recycling rate for the C&D and 100% recycling rate for concrete and asphalt. Abyss has been a trusted name in the demolition industry for over 20 years, known for delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Their commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility aligns perfectly with our RECLAIM. REFINE. REUSE. philosophy. Here’s what their team had to say about working with Rino: "Working with Rino Recycling at their Pinkenba site is easy thanks to close location to city works, tight turnaround times, and clear communication with staff." — Dan Churchill, Site Supervisor "Sustainability and cost efficiency are key priorities for us, which is why we like working in with Rino. Their 95+% recycling targets and competitive pricing align with our commitment to reducing waste and keeping costs down in a fairly inflated market." — Ben Lambert, General Manager At Rino, we are committed to helping our demolition partners drive sustainable, cost-efficient outcomes without compromising on quality or timelines. We look forward to opportunity to work with the Abyss again.

🌍 Global Recycling Day: Protecting Our Finite Resources ♻️ Today, on Global Recycling Day, we’re reminded of the critical role recycling plays in preserving our planet’s finite resources. Every material we reclaim, refine, and reuse helps reduce landfill waste, cut carbon emissions, and create a more sustainable future. At Rino Recycling, we’re committed to driving change. In 2025, we aim to process 1.2 million tonnes of waste, achieving an estimated CO₂ savings of approximately 46,000kg—a significant step towards a circular economy. By choosing recycled materials in construction and civil projects, we can collectively reduce our environmental impact and build a better future for generations to come. #GlobalRecyclingDay #ReclaimRefineReuse #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #Recycling

💐Celebrating the Women of Rino Recycling! 💐 At Rino Recycling, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where everyone—regardless of gender—feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. This International Women's Day, we celebrate the incredible women in our team who are shaping the future of waste and resource recovery. While our industry has traditionally been male-dominated, we’re seeing more women step into key roles across our operations—from the weighbridge to mobile plant operators, administration, leadership, and beyond. Their dedication, expertise, and fresh perspectives are driving real change—not just for Rino, but for the industry as a whole. One standout example is Jenaya Brunt, whose journey with Rino exemplifies hard work, resilience, and career progression. Two and a half years ago, Jenaya joined Rino through labour hire as a spotter. Coming from a background as a chef with little industry experience, she quickly proved herself with her strong work ethic and commitment to our culture. She was soon brought on as a full-time employee, progressed to a mobile plant operator, and played a key role in commissioning and leading operations at our facility. Her impact has been significant—not only has she helped build a strong, high-performing team, but she’s also contributed to diverting thousands of tonnes of material from landfill. Last year, her efforts were recognised with a Highly Commended award at the WRIQ Industry Awards for Resource Recovery Employee of the Year. Thank you to all the women of Rino Recycling—you inspire us every day. At Rino, we’re proud to: ✅ Provide career development opportunities to support women in leadership and operational roles. ✅ Encourage diverse talent to consider a future in recycling and resource recovery. ✅ Open doors for more women to join our mobile plant team. 👉 If you’re an experienced mobile plant operator looking for a rewarding career in resource recovery, we’d love to hear from you! Reach out to us to learn more about opportunities at Rino Recycling. #IWD2025 Waste Recycling Industry Association (QLD) inc (WRIQ)
