Sabre Medical was thrilled to participate as a Gold Sponsor at the recent University of Technology Sydney’s Biomedical Engineering Society Networking Event. With representatives from leading biomedical companies and over 100 enthusiastic students in attendance, the event was a fantastic opportunity to connect and share industry insights. Our New Product Introduction Engineer, Sanchit Sud, played a key role in setting up our sponsorship and delivered an engaging presentation. He introduced Sabre Medical, showcased our cutting-edge R&D projects, and shared his journey as a recent graduate, which resonated strongly with the audience and sparked significant interest and questions about our organisation. A huge thanks to Sanchit and Doug Watson from our team, as well as Darren Dukes, and Marta Bazela-Sleczek from Sabre Recruiting who were on hand at our booth to connect with students, answer questions and discuss career opportunities. Special thanks to Julian Taffa, a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) student majoring in Mechatronics, for his invaluable assistance throughout the event. The evening was a great success, we were delighted with the level of interest shown in our work throughout the evening. We’re always thrilled to participate in UTS events, where we have the opportunity to engage with the next generation of industry professionals, from first-year undergraduates to master’s students. 🎉 And that’s a wrap! 🚵♂️ We're thrilled to congratulate Warrick Heald from Osseointegration International on completing the Tour Divide! The Tour Divide is an ultra-endurance bikepacking race that spans the entire length of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. Starting in Banff, Alberta, Canada, it criss-crosses the Continental Divide and finishes at the US/Mexico border in Antelope Wells, New Mexico, covering approximately 4,418 kilometres of gruelling terrain. Warrick's journey was filled with incredible wildlife encounters, including 5 bears (thankfully without altercations), 1 wolf, 2 coyotes, 1 road runner, 2 marmots, 1 raccoon, 2 tarantulas, numerous elk and deer, and wild horses. In Warrick’s words....... “I’m relieved and proud to have finished the route as it was extremely challenging and one of those things where the enjoyment comes afterwards! The first week was all about getting my body to accept up to 18hrs a day on the bike, the second week was about mentally accepting the race as I then knew what I was in for, then the final week was pushing through all the fatigue. All the preparation into training and gear selection paid off as the bike made it without any major mechanicals and my body held up, just.” Our team at Sabre Medical is incredibly proud to have sponsored Warrick in this monumental ride, with all proceeds going to his chosen charity, Limbs 4 Life. Limbs 4 Life provides invaluable support to amputees, their families, and caregivers, empowering them through peer support programs, assistance in finding prostheses, and more. Well done, Warrick! We hope you enjoy some well-deserved R&R now that you are home. #tourdivide #ultraendurance #bikepacking #limbs4life #innovation #sabremedical

Sabre Medical is excited to share that our client, Kitea Health, has successfully initiated their clinical trials and is advancing to the next stage. In a groundbreaking world-first, Kitea Health has implanted a chip in an Auckland patient’s brain to monitor pressure - part of an innovative trial that will expand to 20 patients. The initial implant took place three weeks ago, marking the beginning of a three-month trial for patients suffering from hydrocephalus. The next phase will involve 150 participants across New Zealand and the United States, with the goal of achieving full regulatory approval from the US Food and Drug Administration within the next two years. At Sabre Medical, we are proud to have supported Kitea Health in reaching this pivotal point by designing a custom sterile barrier system, working to clean and assemble the device in our ISO Class 7 on-site cleanroom as well as performing the terminal EO sterilisation validation. Congratulations to Kitea Health on this remarkable achievement! We look forward to assisting with their next clinical trials, through FDA regulatory approval and beyond.
