Sandfire expresses its deepest sympathies to the victims, their families and friends and others impacted by the recent severe flooding across Botswana, including the communities of Gaborone, Francistown and Ghanzi, close to our Motheo Operations. The heavy rain and flooding resulted in some fatalities, displaced more than 5,000 members of the community and disrupted access to clean water, healthcare and education. To support those impacted, Sandfire will donate BWP3,000,000 to the Botswana Disaster Management Relief Fund. The Motheo team also partnered with local emergency response teams to assist with the evacuation of residents and contributed food hampers and toiletries to those in need during the flooding.

Today is International Women’s Day, a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. As we reflect on the progress we’ve made towards improving gender equality we know there is always more we can do. Inclusion and diversity is not driven by short-term thinking or the latest trends. Rather, we believe that an inclusive workplace that values the diversity of its people delivers better business outcomes, enables our people to achieve their full potential, and creates sustainable benefit for the communities in which we work. We will create an inclusive and diverse workplace through leadership commitment, embracing our unique geographic footprint, celebrating our cultural differences and the systemisation of our behaviours to ensure continuous improvement.

Today we released our Financial Results for the December 2024 Half Year. A robust six months has put us on track to deliver on our commitments for the full year, although we are monitoring heavy rainfall at both MATSA and Motheo. We delivered a 16% increase in Group Copper Equivalent production to 75.1kt and reduced net debt by $107.9M to $288.2M. During the period we also increased Underlying EBITDA by 87% from $118.7M to $255.2M and received credit approval for a new, unsecured $650M Corporate Revolver Facility, which will replace our existing CRF and be used to repay existing project facilities and fundamentally de-risk our balance sheet. 🎊 CONGRATULATIONS Brendan Harris FROM Sandfire RESOURCES 🎊 Brendan is the #WIRA2025 Champion of Women in Resources Award winner! Brendan’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace stems from his early observations in investment banking, where he recognised the underrepresentation of women in leadership roles. This inspired him to advocate for equal opportunities, ensuring that women returning from maternity leave were supported rather than sidelined. At Sandfire, he established a 40/40/20 gender diversity target for his executive team, achieving this milestone within six months.
