We are immensely proud to have these two exceptional brands representing SeaLink at this prestigious event. At SeaLink Marine & Tourism, 42.32% of our workforce is female, with women holding 35.85% of senior management roles—exceeding our organisational goal of 30% and we continue working to increase participation and opportunities for women. ✅ Deepa KC K C began her career with us as a Steward before quickly moving into reservations—a role that matched her passion for hospitality. Through dedication and the support of training and mentorship, she progressed to Reservations Manager at Sydney Harbour, where she now leads with confidence. Deepa’s journey showcases the opportunities available for women in the industry and how passion, dedication, and support can pave the way for leadership success. The event, hosted by Penny Wong and emceed by ABC Radio host Sonya Feldhoff, featured esteemed guest speaker Rachel Perkins, a proud Arrernte and Kalkadoon woman renowned for her impactful storytelling. Rachel delivered a powerful address, emphasising the importance of family, taking risks, standing up for what you believe in, and gender equality. 🚢 Prioritising Safety at SeaLink North Queensland 🚨 Last week, SeaLink North Queensland partnered with Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), Townsville Coast Guard, Queensland Water Police, Maritime Safety Queensland, and the Townsville trawl fleet for a joint emergency drill! ⚓ This hands-on safety exercise involved multiple life raft launch scenarios at sea 🛟, providing valuable real-world training for our crews and reinforcing the importance of emergency preparedness. With insights from local regulators and marine professionals, these drills are essential in refining our safety procedures and ensuring the highest standards for our passengers and crew. ✅ Continuous improvement matters!
