Exciting News for Small Businesses in Queensland! We are thrilled to announce that the Queensland Government has officially adopted the Small Business Charter of Australia! This landmark decision is a monumental step forward in supporting and empowering small businesses across our state. The Charter, drafted by the Small Business Association of Australia in 2018, has been a key focus of advocacy for the Association. After years of dedicated efforts, Queensland is proud to be the first state to adopt the Charter in its entirety. A special thank you to the Think Tank Committee, our members for their unwavering support and commitment. Your dedication has been instrumental in making this achievement possible. Anne Nalder, Founder/CEO Small Business Association of Australia recently attended a Symposium in Canberra organised by the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, the The Hon Bruce Billson GAICD to discuss the forthcoming ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) requirements coming in globally. Every country in the world has either developed or is development regulation that will affect all large corporations and MSMEs (Micro, small & Medium Enterprises) globally. Some small businesses may be exempt however, if providing services, goods or produce, that small business will need to be ESG compliant. We will release further information once on hand.
