📈 Positive news for the retail sector! Retail sales in Australia saw a 3.1% increase in August, reaching $36.48 billion. 🌟 With the warmest August on record since 1910, spending surged on summer clothing, outdoor dining, and camping equipment. Cosmetics and sports goods led the way with a 6.5% growth, followed by food sales at 3.8% and department stores at 2.1%. Paul Zahra, CEO of the Australian Retailers Association, notes that retailers are shaking off the winter blues and gearing up for a busy season.
