In September, we had the privilege of contributing to a meaningful project with the Bridge It Foundation, founded by Carla Raynes in 2021. Bridge It is tackling the youth homelessness crisis with innovative housing and support programs, and is the only organisation in Victoria focused on youth-supportive housing for young women. Currently, 38,000 young people in Victoria, aged 15-24, are experiencing homelessness, including sleeping rough, couch surfing, and shelter hopping. A big thank you to Mirvac for connecting us with the inspiring Bridge It team! We were thrilled to have the opportunity to fit out the kitchens in their latest housing project. Huge congratulations to Luke Bourke on being named the Smeg Young Chef of the Year at the The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Awards 2025, awarded last night in Sydney by Smeg's Head of Marketing and Product Nicholas Elgin and judge Lauren Eldridge. Luke is a Graduate of the National Indigenous Culinary Institute, an advocate for First Nations ingredients, a mentor to Indigenous chefs, and sous-chef at Rockpool Bar & Grill - a truly inspiring winner. WHERE STYLE MEETS ART We are delighted to share our recent window display in David Jones. During October, visitors to David Jones Elizabeth Street experienced a taste of the vibrant Italian Coast with our striking Blu Mediterraneo activation. In partnership with Dashing, our installation beautifully highlighted the artistry of our latest collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana, with key products featured on custom plinths & illuminated lightboxes. Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this vision to life!

Earlier this month, we were pleased to work with our colleagues at Signature Appliances to bring a hands-on 'Little Italy' to life using Smeg's Vitality System, an innovative combination of Blast Chiller, Vacuum Drawer and OmniChef Oven: our recipe for high quality food. To celebrate Blu Mediterraneo, our latest in collaboration with Dolce&Gabbana, we welcomed the range to Australian shores at an event on Sydney harbour last week. The collection of six iconic small appliances, entirely made in Italy, have been printed with hand-painted artworks in a blue and white colour scheme in homage to the sea.
