We’re proud to have delivered the installation of the YARRA01 community battery for Indigo Power — a first-of-its-kind project on AusNet’s network and a major step forward for community energy in Australia. ⚡ At Solar Professionals, we believe in building smarter, more resilient energy systems. YARRA01 not only supports the local grid and reduces emissions, but it empowers the Yarra Junction community to take charge of their energy future. Massive credit to Indigo Power and all the partners involved. We’re thrilled to play a part in shaping a cleaner, more connected tomorrow — one battery at a time. #CommunityEnergy #BatteryStorage #SolarProfessionals #CleanEnergy #Yarra01 #EnergyFuture #SolarPower #CommunityBattery
⚡ A huge milestone for community energy! ⚡ On Tuesday, we celebrated the launch of YARRA01, Yarra Junction’s first community battery. The 120kW/300kWh battery, managed by Indigo Power, is a game-changer for Yarra Junction—storing surplus solar energy from 10am to 3pm daily and sharing it back with the community during evening peak times. What makes YARRA01 special? ✔ Supports the grid – Helps stabilise electricity supply on the main street. ✔ Maximises solar use – Stores excess solar and redistributes it when needed. ✔ Cuts carbon emissions – Reduces approximately 76 tonnes of CO₂ annually. ✔ Real-time tracking – Residents can monitor energy flow via Indigo Power’s portal. The project was made possible through the Commonwealth Government's Community Batteries for Household Solar program and is the first stand-alone community battery in AusNet’s network and part of AusNet's Neighbourhood Storage Tariff trial—pioneering new ways to integrate batteries into the grid. A huge thank you to the Yarra Junction community and all stakeholders involved including Yarra Ranges Council, Mondo, Pixii AS and Solar Professionals for making this project a reality. We’re excited to see how community batteries like YARRA01 help shape a cleaner, smarter energy future.
