Our team had a great few days earlier this month at Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition 2024 in Melbourne, where we connected with many amazing organisations. A special highlight was partnering with Victorinox, who ran a fantastic fundraising initiative with all proceeds going to Soldier On. For $50, attendees could build their own Swiss Army Knife, and a total of 67 knives were crafted, raising over $3,200 for Soldier On. “We hope these funds will help deliver support services to those who need it most,” said the Victorinox team. Today marks the 25th anniversary of the deployment of the International Force East Timor (INTERFET), an Australian-led peacemaking task force established to restore order and provide humanitarian aid following extreme violence in the country. 5,500 Australians were involved in INTERFET, including Soldier On ambassadors Jody Hillier and Ben Farinazzo. We remember and thank all Australian Defence Force personnel that have served, and continue to serve, for their bravery, diplomacy, and courage for peace.
