A pleasure to finally meet Colin Bettis from the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in person at Zeno Power in Washington DC! The NRO is the biggest intelligence agency on the planet, working with commercial partners and primes to collect the best geospatial intelligence on Earth. At Spiral Blue, we're advancing on our technical and organisational readiness to begin supplying critical LiDAR data to the NRO and other intelligence agencies in the US and beyond, such as the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and our own Australian Geospatial Intelligence Agency. We're also exploring environmental and industrial applications for civil and commercial organisations. Let's build a prosperous, safe, and free planet for humanity with space technology. P.S. We were honored to be one of 24 companies selected to pitch our innovations at ASCA’s inaugural Pitch Day at ADSTAR. This week, we had an incredible tour of Colorado as part of the Techstars Space Accelerator program, including meeting some incredible Aussie founders! We started off with a visit to the Orbit Fab facilities and a talk from Governor Jared Polis one of the cofounders of Techstars. Chris Pearson shared his inspiring journey of relocating to the US and his work with Agile Space Industries, providing insight into the growing opportunities in space tech. We also met with Vanessa Clark and William Kowalski from Atomos Space who shared their founder story from 2019 to the present. Their focus on building the right team to solve problems, rather than just finding them, deeply resonated with us. It’s truly inspiring to see how far they’ve come, despite the challenges they’ve faced. Later, we heard from Daniel Faber the founder of Orbit Fab, who took us through his journey from asteroid mining to now building gas stations in space. Learning about the thriving space ecosystem in Colorado was fascinating! It’s wonderful to see Australian founders making such a remarkable impact on the global space industry! It was an amazing experience attending #SFTechWeek with AWS Startups and Diversity VC!
