I had the privilege of attending USYD’s Startup Link Society Speaker Series 3 this evening. 👏 I left the session feeling highly motivated to bring my ideas to life and encouraged to take 'risks'. 💡 The guest speakers were Jason Zhu He, a TEDx speaker and Co-founder of the Ikigai Network🎓 ; Gary Smith, CEO of BioPak♻; and Dan Brockwell, Co-founder of Earlywork 📚. 🎊 Some highlights from their insights for me included: 🌟 “A lot of people do what you do and have ideas, so you stand out with the effort you put in.” – Gary 🌟 Dan mentioned that you know it’s time to take a risk on an idea when “every conversation feels totally different,” or you’re “hearing the same conversation and have heard 80-90% of it before.” 🌟 Gary also urged, “Be bold and don’t overthink it. Just start.” 🌟I was particularly inspired by Jason’s decision to pursue his passion instead of a conventional career path. His discussion was compelling as he emphasized that ‘good ideas’ are those you ‘love, are good at, and the world needs.’ Thank you to StartUp Link USYD for hosting a brilliant and eye-opening event.
