Tonight, our local rugby club, Exeter Chiefs will host the BUCS Super Rugby match between University of Exeter and Durham University Supacat will be cheering for both teams! We are enthusiastic supporters of our local club, but equally, we are backing Durham University. The question is, which stand will Supacat sit in? We take pride in supporting our local university and the university rugby players from Durham University, who will be wearing Supacat-branded rugby t-shirts! Our sense of community extends beyond local boundaries; we are one nation and, therefore, one community! No matter which side of the stadium you find yourself on, let’s show #CommunitySpirit! https://ow.ly/We1e50TRqO8

Healthy competition among colleagues can have a positive impact on the overall wellbeing and morale of the workforce. In line with this, Phil Applegarth organised a thrilling Go-Kart race for a Supacat team at Dunkeswell Raceway. This exciting event not only coincided with #worldmentalhealthday last week, but also served as part of the team's preparation for the Remembrance Day Charity Go-Kart Race scheduled to take place at Thruxton in November. #RemembranceDay2024

To coincide with #nationalmanufacturingday spearheaded by Make UK Defence, we had the privilege of hosting a STEM workshop for school and college students interested in mechanical and design engineering. We were delighted to welcome a combination of six schools and colleges to our test track, and we extend our sincere thanks to them for their enthusiastic participation. Together, we delved into the world of engineering, manufacturing, and testing and trialling, guided by our skilled engineers and workshop crew. Schools and Colleges that attended: Blundell’s School Uffculme School Exeter College Bicton College Kingsmead The King’s School The students' enthusiasm was palpable as they eagerly participated in the activities, their eyes lighting up with interest. Supacat was truly impressed by the students' problem-solving skills. They worked together, gathering information and finding solutions, such as how to make a paper plane fly further by testing its aerodynamics. Witnessing these young minds collaborate, test each other, and be creative was truly insightful. It's clear that the future of engineering is in good hands, and perhaps Supacat will have the privilege of guiding some of these students towards a career in engineering. Yesterday not only marked #nationalmanufacturingday, but we believe our event has helped inspire future budding engineers and show the diversity in engineering, not only in the variations of skills but also in the fact that it is open to any gender! We thank Yeovil College and Exeter College, who played a crucial role in our event by demonstrating emerging technology. Their support was instrumental in making this event a success. #MakeUKDefence #Engineering #CareerOpportunities #Supacat #Innovation
