If you're wondering what we are working on at Swell Labs, here is a deep dive 👇 TL DR: ▶ We have three products: swETH (LST), rswETH (LRT) and our L2 ▶ We leverage AltLayer's tech stack to launch as a restaked rollup. Our L2 will be a zkEVM built using the Polygon Labs CDK. ▶ rswETH will be the canonical gas token of the L2. rswETH powers the AVSs (Through delegated security). The AVSs in turn provide chain infrastructure for the L2. This provides real revenue for the AVS which flows back to rswETH holders. No other protocol, or L2, has quite the same vertically-integrated reflexive value capture mechanisms that Swell has. Most, if not all, crypto networks live and die by their liquidity network effects, and Swell L2 is well positioned to capitalize on the long term key areas of value accrual that Ethereum offers. Our wheels are still turning after last week’s Secure Staking Alliance event at #ETHDenver2024! The private event was attended by leading protocols, validator operators, insurers, and security experts ready to start collaborating on standards for (re)staking security. Find out more at https://lnkd.in/gJew3Wkr. Here’s what we heard: 1/ There’s a lot of (deserved!) hype around the rewards of #restaking protocols—but end-users can lose sight of the risks. Restakers should deeply understand slashing conditions for every protocol they’re involved in, and protocols must clearly communicate the risks to the public. 2/ That said, Web3 has a transparency advantage over Web2: so much happens in the on-chain “public forum.” The more we can use public information to quantify risk and resilience, the better off we’ll be. 3/ Operational security matters. Even if you’re using a transparent, decentralized system secured by the newest, most post-quantum signature schemes, storing your key in a file called secret.txt is gonna get you. We appreciate our esteemed speakers for sparking valuable discussions that are setting the tone for our work on validator security standards! 🎤 J. Gdanski, Benjamin Sepanski, Daniel Tong, Justine Bone, Fraser Brown, Eric Vreeland, Sebastian Banescu, David Tse, Riad S. Wahby, Stanley W., Soubhik Deb, Edgar Roth Lastly, we’d like to extend our gratitude to our sponsors 🤝 for their support and commitment to making the event a success. BabylonChain Inc., Chainproof, Cubist, Everstake, Evertas, Polyhedra Network, Semantic Layer, Veridise, and Verilog Solutions, thank you!
