15 years in Tasmania! Swick recently celebrated 15 years of excellence at Renison Mine Site. With over 600,000m drilled, this significant milestone is a testament to Swick’s drill practices and the exceptional crews we have onsite in the region. We would like to thank all past and present employees for their contributions to this milestone and Bluestone Mines Tasmania for their partnership.
15 years of unearthing excellence with Swick Mining Services . World class mineral drillers Swick have worked alongside us in Tasmania’s West Coast for a milestone 15 years. Swick are among the largest mineral drilling contractors in the world and specialise in producing diamond drill core. In their dedicated service to Bluestone, they are responsible for all underground resource definition, and grade control diamond drilling at our Renison site. Since our partnership began in 2009 in excess of a staggering 600,000 meters has been drilled. From the diamond drill core provided to us by Swick, the Resource Development and Planning team can extract information that is then used to build our geological and resource models. These models are used to determine the economic value of the Renison orebody, underpinning a substantial amount of the decision making around our mining activities. We are proud to work alongside the industry’s most innovative service contractors and look forward to the next 15 years with Swick. #mining #exploration #drilling

Witnessing history in motion as Big Boy No. 4014 powers through Elko once again. 🚂 Built in the 1940's, this is the largest steam train ever constructed, designed to conquer the challenging grades of the Wasatch Mountains.
