It was fantastic to attend Lee FitzGerald’s 14th Annual Workshop in London yesterday! Richard-Mike Jones and Marc Owen representing Tacklit had the pleasure of meeting so many incredible people from 31 different countries in the mental health, addiction and recovery space. Some truly inspiring conversations and collaborations were sparked, and we're looking forward to continuing these exciting discussions! Lived and Living Experience (LLE) workers, also known as peer support workers, form a critical part of the mental healthcare workforce. Due to their personal experience, they are well placed to support those going through episodes of mental illness. They bring an invaluable perspective to service design, and can greatly alleviate the sharp shortages of clinically trained staff. However, for LLE models to deliver positive results, they need to be carefully designed, properly risk managed and clinically supervised. Tacklit’s end-to-end platform for mental health service delivery includes modules specifically designed to support the large scale deployment of LLE workforces. Today, we are pleased to share the launch of multiple enhancements, including tools to optimise the matching between individual patients and peer workers, clinical supervision workflows, and AI-powered documentation and risk management features. Prevention and early detection are powerful levers in mental health management. By monitoring population-level mental health KPIs, and identifying at-risk individuals ahead of crisis point, effective care can be provided through less resource-intensive interventions, thereby increasing access to quality care. Tacklit's psychometric monitoring, early detection and analytics capabilities have been developed with this purpose in mind. And, by being available via APIs, they can be leveraged by leading providers into their own care platforms. A great example is Tacklit UK customer Mental Health Hub and its CORDS platform. We are facing huge demand for mental health services, with the Australian Bureau of Statistics reporting one in five Australians experience a mental health condition within a 12 month period. For people aged 16-24 years, it is two in five. Similar statistics have been reported in NZ, the UK and US. At the same time, we have a significant workforce shortage, with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) reporting that Australia meets only 35 per cent of its psychology workforce target, and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) finding that 93% of Australian psychiatrists believe the current workforce crisis negatively impacts patient care. Again, this is the same everywhere. We need new solutions and care delivery models, amplified by purpose-built technology. This is what we do at Tacklit every day.
