At Target we’re committed to inspiring families to live better by delivering quality products at affordable prices.

About us

At Target, we’ve always been here to help families live better. But right now, we can see that what ‘better’ means is changing. Better means making choices that can change the world. Better is about a life that’s lived, not with more things, but with things that mean more. A life where quality is always valued over quantity. Where beauty is born from style and substance in equal measure. A better way of life, that’s within easy reach of all. That’s why everything from the products we make to the experience we create, is crafted with intention and a single purpose…To inspire families to live better.

We're excited to be launching a uniform recycling program by partnering with UPPAREL for our Target Distribution Centre team members around Australia. Upparel is Australia's leading textile recovery and recycling organisation that collects unwanted textiles from all over the country and recycles and repurposes them to reduce clothing waste – making it easier for team members who wear a uniform to responsibly dispose of end-of-life uniforms and clothing at work. 🌱👚🌍

The Sunshine Coast was absolutely buzzing as 450 of our incredible store leaders across Target and Kmart came together for the first time at our 2024 Store Managers Conference! Together we took a moment to share our achievements, celebrate our strengths together as two distinct and loved Australian brands, and learn about how we are accelerating forward towards our future goals - to ensure our operations, our people, and our customers continue to thrive. From an incredible First Nations art activity with Bayley Mifsud to a tear-jerking keynote from big wave surf legend Mark Mathews, the week was packed with unforgettable experiences. And the best part? Watching our team connect and forge new and lasting relationships. To our amazing Store Managers, we want to take this moment say thank you for all that you do. Your leadership, hard work, and dedication are the foundation of our success. With a team like this leading the way - the future looks bright. #ThatsTarget

Last week, in support of our much-loved charity partner, the Australian Childhood Foundation, we coordinated a fantastic makeover of their counselling centre in Launceston, Tasmania. We transformed the centre into a warm and welcoming space by providing Target and Anko products, furniture, alongside our helping hands! These centres located across the country enable the Foundation to do important work with children and families, providing counselling and therapeutic services. A huge thank you to our fantastic local store team at Target Launceston - particularly Store Manager, Teagan Brown, who led this project with the enthusiastic support from her Zone Manager, Justine Kanaris, store team and dedicated Community Team. #ThatsTarget To learn more about our partnership, visit: https://lnkd.in/gty9gACf

Introducing the 2024 NAIDOC Week Poster Competition winner, Deborah Belyea – proud member of the Samuawgadhalgal, Cassowary Clan, whose bloodlines stretch to the people of the top Western Torres Strait islands of Saibai, Dauan and the Bamaga-Saibai community of Cape York. This year's poster can be collected for free at the front of all Target stores. Deb’s artwork is inspired by this year's NAIDOC Week theme of "Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud, and Proud". Her artwork shows ancestors hands placing an ember into a burning fire. This ember, and the fire, represents the sharing of cultural knowledge from one generation to the next. #ThatsTarget #NAIDOC2024

Late last year, we announced the launch of our Inclusive Career Pathway Pilot in partnership with the Australian Government Department of Social Services, the Australian Disability Network and the Business Council of Australia. This national initiative aims to provide equitable career pathways for individuals living with disabilities. Throughout April and May, we facilitated two-day workshops across Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and online – these workshops equipped our leaders with the skills to foster inclusive environments and support team members in defining and achieving their career goals. For the next eight months, each participant will work closely with their leader to reach their unique aspirations. Together, we're championing inclusion and driving meaningful career development at Target and Kmart Australia Limited. 🌟

This week, one of the highlights of our National Reconciliation Week activities for Target and Kmart Australia Limited was an informative session led by Johnny Briggs, Managing Director of John Briggs Consultancy, along with some of our own First Nations leaders Emily Betts, 👣Kevin Bloomfield👣, Cassandra Ryan, Ellen Hughes and Head of Diversity and Inclusion Marcelle Harrison.   Together they led an insightful discussion on Indigenous culture, history and the importance of allyship. It’s by learning from each other that we can continue to make positive steps towards reconciliation. #NationalReconciliationWeek
