🌟 Getting Students to PETEX 2024 🌟 The industry recognises and discusses at length, the need to get more people through the university process, replacing the generation of Petroleum Geoscientists who have pushed the industry to be a world leader. The industry is changing rapidly, and there is a forecasted skills gap and hiring crisis as there aren’t enough young people coming through university, staying in the industry and building a career. GESGB are playing their part by seeking funding from companies within the industry to provide student places at PETEX 2024. All those who have attended PETEX over the years, know just how valuable the experience is, both in terms of the quality and relevance of the technical programme and also the connections available through networking. We are hoping to get 50 students to PETEX 2024 and the first companies to step forward with support are DUG and Shearwater.
