Amazing to see and be a part of the incredible positive impact being made in the world! Dr Matthew Henricks Sue Langley Water Works Program Commonwealth Bank 🙏 #makingadifference #thefutureishuman
And that’s a wrap! Sue Langley and I just had another opportunity to work with the Commonwealth Bank graduates. This was the last in a series that had me crisscrossing the country over the last week or so, from Sydney to Perth then Melbourne in just a few days. At this final, Melbourne-based event, the grads donated another 36 life-saving water systems as part of the Water Works Program. All donations will be sent to families living in the Kyaka Ii refugee settlement camp in Uganda. In total, Commbank has now donated an incredible 625 systems since the start of their support of our project. That’s enough systems to protect at least 5,000 families from water-borne disease. This series has been a wonderful opportunity to meet and work with so many impressive young people, and I don’t take it for granted. A huge thanks to Renee Picello and her team for her ongoing support of our project. I can’t wait to see what this 2024 cohort of graduates will achieve in years to come, but I know that they have been set up for success thanks to Renee and her team’s hard work. As for me, I’ve just boarded my final flight home and can’t wait to spend a few nights in a row with my family. #waterworks #commbanklife #brighterfutureforall #bethechange
