About us
We are a group of highly talented individuals who love what we do! We are passionate about making a difference in the workplace and bringing out the best in the people we work with. We are the Open Door Coaching Group! One of Australia's leading workplace coaching organisations. We coach managers and leaders to coach their teams, we do one-on-one executive coaching, fantastic workshops and we are a registered training organisation. We designed and delivered Australia's first Certificate IV and Diploma programs in workplace coaching, with government, ICF and AHRI accreditations. And five years on, those programs continue to be endoresed by the industry. We beleive in creating workplaces that we can all be proud of! Places where people want to come to work; where they are inspired and motivated; where innovation and ideas are encouraged; where you can make and admit mistakes; where people across all levels of the organisation are inspired to make a difference; where peopel have courage to have conversations that are difficult; where people ask questions and explore otpions when new ideas are raised (rather than saying it won't work). We believe in workplaces where everyone is reaching their potential; where we deal with reality in a positive way and where we achieve amazing results together. Our CEO, Natalie Ashdown wrote the book on inspiring coaching culture in the workplace with over 30 Australian case studies called "Bring Out Their Best".

This week on the live Coaching Café webinar: What is ‘residual work’? And what does it have to do with coaching? At Open Door we like to watch out for common words, phrases, concepts and models being used by our clients and others. It’s part of our own growth and development. This week, the ‘buzz’ term seemed to be ‘residual work’ and as one client said, ‘the question is: how do we get a lot more of it?’ So this week, join Paula for the Coaching Café, as we take a look at what it means to focus on residual work, rather than linear work (work that yields task driven benefits) and of course, what this means to our coaching! And answer the questions: what is residual work? And how do we take this approach to work to yield benefits including sustained efforts towards our goals? Register here: https://lnkd.in/gUcZCySU

💼 Coaching: The Key to Boosting Productivity and Re-engaging Quiet Quitters 💼 When employees disengage and “quietly quit,” it’s often a sign they’ve lost connection with their work. Instead of accepting reduced productivity, coaching can help reignite their passion and drive. Through coaching, employees can: *Clarify their goals and align them with the organisation’s vision. *Identify obstacles that are holding them back and develop strategies to overcome them. *Build confidence to take initiative and contribute at a higher level. *Enhance productivity by unlocking their full potential and finding renewed purpose. By investing in coaching, we can turn disengagement into action, reigniting motivation and boosting both individual and team productivity. If you're seeing signs of quiet quitting in your organisation, coaching may be the solution to help your team thrive again! #CoachingCulture #EmployeeEngagement #CoachTraining

If you missed last weeks Coaching Café webinar, we have just uploaded it onto our Podcast! Here's a reminder of what we spoke about: I’m not sure it’s my role - breaking down the barriers to mental health conversations in the workplace ‘I’m not sure it’s my role’, was a comment we received recently during a presentation on mental health conversations in the workplace. We may notice that a work colleague or client is not their normal self. Perhaps their behaviour has changed or the language they are using and their demeanour is different. But the person in the workshop was worried that they didn’t really ‘feel it was their place’ to approach the person. It's not uncommon to wonder whether it’s your job to start a mental health conversation or actually how to do that. Alternatively, whether you should get others involved, for example HR. In addition, as a manager or coach, when do you take off your coaching hat, and focus on a mental health conversation? Thursday 10th October marked World Mental Health Day (WMHD) 2024 in Australia and the WHO states that World Mental Health Day is an opportunity to ‘raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilise efforts in the support of mental health.’ And the official theme of WMHD is: It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace Therefore, we thought we’d use the Coaching Café to focus mental health conversations in the workplace. So join Natalie and Paula as they focus on mental health in the workplace and talk about the role we can play, including what to say, what not to say and overcoming barriers to the conversation. In our workshops, we’ve moved away from using PowerPoint presentations and instead focus on flipcharts to drive engagement and creativity. Why? Because flipcharts allow for: *Real-time interaction with participants. *A more dynamic and flexible approach to discussions. *The ability to adjust and add ideas on the spot. We’ve found that this creates a more open, collaborative environment where participants feel more involved. It’s less about following slides and more about creating conversations that matter. What tools do you use to keep your sessions interactive? #CoachTraining #EngagementMatters #InteractiveWorkshops
