Our new Brick Cladding Systems Manual (TBA 16) is available online now! Check out our website now to see the different types, installation methods and case studies of different systems made by our members. Brick cladding systems are a light-weight solution that maintain the durability and resilience of traditional brick walls, while taking up less space and increasing on-site construction efficiency. They provide better resistance to noise, fire, heat and minor impacts than traditional wall cladding systems. These systems use thin brick facings that can be cut, extruded or pressed to match traditional brick products and can be used for internal and external applications. They are either adhered, mechanically engaged, or a combination of both to include rails, panels, and precast systems. As an industry association, many of our manufacturer members produce thin brick facings. Swipe to see examples of brick cladding systems in action. #precast #panelbricks #brickcladding #adheredsystem #railsystems

🏗️🧱 Celebrating the 'Sustainability in Masonry' Event in Sydney! 🌿 Last Wednesday, we had the privilege of hosting over 60 people, including manufacturers, architects, engineers, and researchers at our 'Sustainability in Masonry' event in Sydney. The discussions focused on the progress towards a lower carbon future for bricks, blocks, pavers, and roof tiles. Cathy Inglis AM provided a detailed overview of our new Industry Sustainability Strategy, and our net-zero carbon trajectory moving towards 2050. A special thanks to our guest speaker, tone wheeler, for his presentation on 'An Architect's View of the Reality of Embodied Carbon.' His expertise and passion on this subject was refreshing to see for all attendees. A big thank you also to John Perry from fjcstudio and Chris Rogers from Jasmax who sat on our industry panel during the evening. As we move towards a net-zero future, the demand for sustainable building products in Australia has never been more critical. Think Brick Australia, the CMAA and ARTA as well as our manufacturer members are committed to continuing these important conversations and updating industry stakeholders on our sustainability initiatives and progress. Thank you to all who were in attendance. We look forward to hosting more events across the country in the coming months. #SustainabilityInMasonry #NetZero2050 #SustainableBuilding #Architecture #Engineering #Sydney #GreenFuture #ThinkBrick #Brickwork #ClayMasonry
