Another permit issued at VCAT for a complex and interesting project. Congratulations to Planning & Property Partners and the Team! Traffix Group Director Jason Walsh provided expert traffic evidence in the matter, which required special consideration of traffic and parking impacts on the surrounding land owners during live music events. #experttrafficevidence #trafficengineering #transportplanning #parkingimpacts
PPP is thrilled to have received approval from VCAT for the development of a unique live music and entertainment venue, in a repurposed heritage building, located within Brunswick’s Industrial 3 Zone. Whilst Council was supportive of the proposal in principle, its proposed permit conditions, which included reducing patron numbers from 875 to 500, would have rendered this incredible project unviable. Overcoming complex acoustic considerations, questions of patron management, and a hard-fought appeal by resident objectors, we are delighted to have secured a desirable outcome (including the full 875 patrons) for our client, Americana Property Holdings Pty Ltd. A huge congratulations to our client, along with Nick Tweedie SC and Stephanie Mann, who provided exceptional advocacy at the VCAT hearing. Thank you to our team of experts - Sophie Jordan , Jason Walsh, Dianne Williams, and Patrick Donovan. Well done to the team at PPP: Mark Naughton, Tyrone Rath and Hannah Wilson. We cannot wait for opening night!
