We’re all about bringing people together over things that matter—especially when caffeine is involved ☕️ That’s why we were pumped to launch 'Good News Brews' with our mates at The Daily Aus—a morning coffee club where news meets community 🤝 Seeing 200+ legends roll in before work to chat about what’s happening in the world is the kind of energy we're here for. Big love to the TDA crew for making news more social, accessible, and actually fun 😎

We recently joined forces with Monster Children Group for the highly anticipated fourth instalment of 'Team Average'. This series follows Aussie & American professional surfers and skateboarders as they journey to different parts of the world, hunting for spots to shoot, people to meet, places to explore, and, of course, to have a ripping good time. In 2024, the Team Average crew ventured along Japan's east coast, featuring acclaimed athletes Craig Anderson, Noa Deane, Jaleesa Vincent, Austyn Gillette, Shin Sanbongi, Kaito Ohashi, Lilian Fev & Jake Anderson. Our Head of Brand, Pete Johnson, said, "Travelling with your mates overseas is one of life's greatest pleasures. We’ve always loved this concept from Monster Children, and given how easy Up makes travelling overseas, it felt natural to collaborate with them and bring Team Average back after a lengthy hiatus. As it so often turns out, the waves on a surf trip can often play second fiddle to the good times we have travelling with our mates and the memories we create." Team Average premiered at Monster Children HQ in LA & Sydney in November and was released digitally to the world last week. The film is dedicated to the late, great Dylan Rieder, OG member of Team Average. Big thanks to Monster Children Group, our co-presenting partner Sapporo USA, and supporters FORMER & Dbjourney. We’re on track to crack 1,000,000 Upsiders in November! 🍾 This milestone reflects our commitment to giving, not taking—offering a banking experience that doesn’t just help young Aussies improve their money skills but actively manages it for them. Our edge is customer-focused design, free from traditional banking influences. As Chief Product Officer Anson Parker notes, our authentic, tech-first approach is what draws Gen Z and millennials to the Upside.
