We’re excited to share the successful completion of a recent project with our valued client, Ashfield Business Tower, at 223 Liverpool Road, Ashfield. The project involved subdividing a 1,365 sqm floor plate into 17 speculative suites, complete with a common kitchen, meeting room, and breakout facilities. The goal was to maximise leasing opportunities while minimising costs and preserving valuable floor space. With suite sizes ranging from 19 sqm to 140 sqm, we are confident this newly designed space is perfectly suited for the Ashfield market. Our Brisbane team delivered this vibrant workplace, which doubled the floor size of CMR’s existing space. With an extremely tight time frame of 2 weeks coupled with a live environment, our team rose to the challenge, ensuring budget, programme and minimal operating disruptions were achieved. It was equally important to us, GEYER and cmr | Cornerstone Medical Recruitment, to operate with sustainable principles and reduce waste through the project. Over 15 tonnes of materials were recycled at the end of the project, which represented approximtely 85% of the total waste. New materials were selected for their eco friendliness including carpets that were compiled from 100% recycled materials. Bespoke furniture was crafted from reclaimed components, whilst existing furniture was upcycled and re-purposed as much as possible. Acoustic panels, fabrics and curtains, are made from 100% recycled materials, resulting in diverting upwards of 6,000 PET bottles from landfill. Flooring was made from coconut husk waste, whilst the majority of other finishes were selected due to their recycled content and ability to be fully recycled after their specified use. “The construction team were a joy to work with and delivered an excellent job on time. Communication is a huge strength of the GEYER and Valmont team. They communicated openly and honestly throughout all stages and were a fabulous group of people to work with. We recently delivered the Richard Crookes Constructions new Sydney headquarters, 3,200sqm across two levels.   The success of this workplace is testament to our completely integrated design and delivery solution with our sister company GEYER. Our delivery of a display suite and coworking space for RG Property at 36 Warry St. in Brisbane, provides a blend of flexible workplace environments within a striking heritage-listed building. Here, diverse businesses converge under one roof, forming a vibrant professional network, bringing unique perspective, expertise and energy to the communal table. The revitalised building is home to a display suite by Geyer and a coworking space, 'The Factory', by Greenlight Design (Australia), and enhances a sense of community among its users by integrating collaborative zones within an environment that balances the demands of contemporary activities with a historical backdrop. Construction faced several challenges, not least the limitations of a heritage-listed building, multiple stakeholders, tight timeframes and material availability. However, through strong collaboration and leveraging past experiences the team overcame these obstacles in style. This is another shining example of our expertise in delivering refurbished, transformative spaces which maximise value through reuse. Our latest work for McCullough Robertson has delivered an environment that invites interaction and engagement, integrates technology and provides the necessary flexibility for a growing workforce. Taking our cue from the successful design by sister company Geyer, this inviting space reaffirms client engagement as the core of the firm’s approach, and allows the team to run client events, training sessions and staff forums effortlessly. This successful delivery stems from meticulous planning, a robust communications strategy and not least some out of hours work that ensured minimal disruption to our client’s daily operation. The client needed to remain operational in the space throughout the project, so we incorporated a highly agile delivery approach and built a strong sense of trust through open communication and weekly updates. Despite unforeseen challenges such as an unlevelled floor, our team adjusted strategies efficiently to meet multiple move-in dates and resolved issues through effective problem-solving.
