**Koolan Island Bridge** We are proud to announce the successful completion of the 75m long bridge on Koolan Island! This project, a collaboration between Vertech Group and Abseil Access Ltd, showcases the power of teamwork across borders, with teams from both New Zealand and Australia joining forces. Before the bridge was built, gaining access to the site on the other side used to take a staggering 2 hours—resulting in the loss of 3-4 hours of productivity every day. Now, with the bridge standing 150m above the bottom of the pit, access is quicker and more efficient, benefiting multiple campaigns in the area. Before the bridge was built, the isolated location of the pit wall made rescues a real challenge for the on-site Emergency Response Team (ERT). A rescue would have required a big team effort, with the rope access crew transferring the injured person (I.P.) across a zip line—potentially in a stretcher—before ERT medics could step in.But with the new bridge in place, the risk profile has dramatically improved! Now, the ERT team can reach the site directly, cutting down response times and making it much safer for everyone. In just 3 weeks, we’ve transformed the landscape, reduced the risks associated with working at this section of the pit, and improved operations for all working on Koolan Island. This month our health and safety team is supporting National Work Safety Month. National Safe Work Month is upon us. A campaign that, since 2009, has aimed to foster a positive safety culture and highlight the significance of effective WHS practices. National Safe Work Month each year focuses on a different safety theme, with this years theme being "Safety is everyone’s business". Today we hosted a “SafeTea” Quiz to highlight some important aspects of WHS and generate valuable discussion with our team. Congrats to Faraaz, Steph and Dan for finishing at the top of the leader board! National Safe Work Month is a vital opportunity to raise awareness and highlight the collective benefits of a safe and healthy workplace for individuals, organisations, and the broader community.

**Vertech Group encourages Ride2Work** On Wednesday, we took part in the National Ride2Work Day! We encouraged people to cycle to work instead of driving or taking public transport. Riding a bike is one of the easiest and most time-efficient ways to get to work. By swapping the car, train or bus for a bike, you can get your recommended daily exercise without having to spend extra time or money at the gym. You’ll be happier and healthier for it. Participants who took part stated that their journey time was similar to the time it would take to drive to work. However, they felt less stressed and more energised for the day! If just riders from Wednesday rode all year round, we would save 3 tonnes of CO2, which is equivalent to 120 trees. Also, we would collectively burn 33,000 Calories per week, or 65 burgers. Well done to everyone who took part!

**New Office Location** In partnership with our sister company Pressure Dynamics International, we are excited to announce our new office location in Darwin, WA. On Friday we were excited to open our doors to clients and showcase our capabilities. This new facility will be home to our full-time local teams from Pressure Dynamics International, Vertech Group Pty Ltd, AUAV: Drone Services and Data Solutions, and Sonomatic Australia & South East Asia allowing us to further support Darwin and the Northern Territory with a true local service. A big thanks to all our long-term clients in the Northern Territory for your dedicated support over the years.
