Better environment plans offer a way for organisations to think differently about how to tackle environmental problems. We’re very pleased to share that Victoria’s first plan is approved! The Brooklyn Recycling Group is committed to: • establishing natural wind break for their operation • installing dust monitors in more locations • hiring a Community Liaison Officer to be a single point of contact for nearby residents. Better environment plans are not an alternative to meeting environmental duties. They are an opportunity to find innovative methods to comply or exceed compliance. This initiative was funded under the Victorian Government’s: • ‘Clean Air for All Victorians – Victoria’s Air Quality Strategy • Air Quality Improvement Precincts program. Can your organisation raise the bar? Learn about better environment plans at https://lnkd.in/d9nxFDDT

We want you! ☝ to tell us what you think about our draft Statement of regulatory intent on climate change, 2025 to 2027. What’s that? It shows how we’ll regulate activities that cause or may be impacted by the effects of climate change. The statement also sets out our objectives, who we'll work with (including community, that’s you), and what tools we'll use to reach our climate action goals. All Victorians have a crucial role to play in acting on climate change. Do your part and give us your views, opinions and ideas on the statement by 14 October 2024. https://bit.ly/3XcOWSK
