The team at Volunteering Tasmania extend their sympathies to the family of Honorary Life Member Ian Pullen, upon the news of his passing in early September. Ian began his journey with VT in the early 2000s, contributing significantly through the Volunteer Option Service and later as a Board Member. His leadership was pivotal in transitioning our organisation from a Board of Management to a Board of Governance. In 2008, his exceptional contributions were honoured with an Honorary Life Membership. Ian's volunteering journey was remarkable, from assisting at schools during the war, to a United Nations posting and lecturing in West Africa, and volunteering with the National Trust here in Tasmania. He believed volunteering opened doors to incredible experiences and cherished the opportunity to meet and inspire others. We are grateful for Ian's dedication and the lasting impact he made on our organisation and the volunteering industry. Our thoughts are with his family during this time.
