While Team FHE didn’t take home the win, they showcased our Aussie talent on the global stage and brought back valuable skills to elevate our VCV workshops even further. Huge congratulations to everyone who participated and represented Volvo Trucks Australia with passion and pride!

“We’ve worked with Volvo for over 30 years, and I trust their support as we take on this new tech,” - Geoff Robertson, Roadmaster Managing Director. Roadmaster has introduced the company’s first Volvo FL electric truck into their Sydney fleet. After witnessing the shift towards electric vehicles in Europe, Robertson was eager to see how it could work for their metro deliveries. The FL Electric is currently handling multi-drops across Sydney with a range of 150-200km per day while the real-time charging updates help the operations team manage daily schedules and ensure smooth operations. Putting the Volvo FM Electric to the Test 🚒 The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) recently took the Volvo FM Electric on a 550km journey to test how low-emissions vehicles can fit into their future fleet. Towing a water tanker, the RFS team put the electric prime mover through its paces - averaging 88.7 km/h with an impressive energy consumption of 1.24 kWh/km. This trial is an important step toward understanding how battery electric trucks can help emergency services reduce emissions while maintaining operational performance. With just 120 minutes of charging time along the route, the RFS team noted that anyone familiar with Volvo trucks could easily transition to the electric version. As Cameron Bettany, VP of Governmental Sales, puts it: “Fire and emergency services are at the frontline of climate change, and reducing emissions is critical - not just for the planet, but for the health and safety of first responders.” Volvo is proud to be at the forefront of sustainable solutions for emergency services! We're welcoming a new truck to the fleet, celebrating our partnership extension with Pilbara Minerals Limited! The new Volvo FH16 truck will operate 24 hours a day in support of Pilbara Minerals' Pilgangoora Operation. The Yindyamarra-wrapped truck is part of a fleet dedicated to Pilbara Minerals, and has been specifically designed to transport spodumene concentrate from the Pilgangoora Operation to Port Hedland for storage and shipping. Qube's Byron Messer says Qube is excited to support Pilbara Minerals’ growth and expansion projects into the future. "We are pleased to dedicate this fantastic truck to its Pilgangoora Operation, given what it represents for us," says Byron. Pilbara Minerals’ Brett McFadgen says the extension to the haulage services agreement with Qube follows an extensive evaluation process. “The special edition truck was a welcome addition to site and it’s been great to see the artwork on the truck as it’s travelling around our operation,” Brett says. “It not only brings colour and vibrancy to our site but serves as an important reminder of the land on which we operate and First Nations People’s enduring connecting to Country and culture." Artist Darren Charlwood, who is from the yabaay wagaan (wedge tail eagle and crow) mob in Wellington, New South Wales, said the artwork, titled Yindyamarra, depicts the balance and interconnectedness that exists between people, the sea, and Country. #Qube #QubeHoldings #Pilbara #PilbaraMinerals #RAP
