WA1 Resources extends its sincere gratitude to the AMEC (Association of Mining and Exploration Companies) for honouring our Exploration Team with the prestigious AMEC Prospector Award 2024 for the Luni Niobium Discovery.   This award is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team and recognises the most significant niobium discovery of the past 70 years - a critical mineral with 90% of global supply originating from Brazil, 80% of which is produced by a single operation.   As AMEC Chief Executive, Warren Pearce stated, “The WA1 team personify the very essence of the Prospector Award, having the idea, backed by data, to explore a relatively uncharted area, and a little bit of luck, to make one of the great discoveries."   Our Managing Director, Paul Savich reflected on this achievement, saying, “Making a discovery is great, but it’s everything that you do after that really matters. And so now the world is watching to see how WA1, the State, and the Industry will bring online one of the world’s best critical minerals discoveries of this century."   This recognition further motivates us as we work to responsibly advance this once in a lifetime niobium discovery. Our latest exploration results from the West Arunta Project in Western Australia continue to excite, with shallow, high-grade intercepts extending Luni to the east ✅   Our Managing Director Paul Savich notes: "Today’s results are the final 2023 extensional drilling intersections and they suggest a meaningful envelope of mineralisation may continue in the eastern and southeastern area of Luni. This also provides an opportunity to extend Luni’s mineralised footprint during 2024."   One particularly interesting result is from hole LURC23-093, which uncovered significant high-grade rare earth mineralisation (7m at 10% TREO from 58m) in the southeast of the Luni carbonatite. We are pleased to announce further exploration results from broad-spaced diamond and RC drilling completed in the central and eastern zones of the Luni carbonatite. These assays further extend and demonstrate continuity of the shallow high-grade blanket of niobium mineralisation at Luni. Remaining assays from 2023 drilling are due soon and will lead into an initial Mineral Resource estimate which remains on schedule for Q2 2024. This week we announced the latest exploration results from drilling at the P2 target, 30km west of our Luni discovery within the West Arunta Project. Shallow mineralisation has now been confirmed over a broad area and follow-up drilling in 2024 will focus on the highest-grade zone identified in the east of the P2 geophysical anomalies.
