Get the Go-Ahead is a new collection of videos, zines, and written resources about affirmative consent, prevention of gendered violence, and sexual and reproductive rights codesigned by Disabled young people, for Disabled young people. Our submission to the Victorian Government’s Inquiry into Women’s Pain offers a unique perspective shaped by our long-standing relationships with diverse communities in the region. It draws on our close collaboration with grassroots organisations and communities serving women with disabilities; women from migrant and refugee backgrounds; and those facing social, cultural and economic barriers to accessing pain management and culturally appropriate, accessible healthcare services. We look forward to the recommendations from this Inquiry being implemented in a way that responds to the lived experiences of women from diverse backgrounds and with diverse experiences of pain.
