Our submission to the Victorian Government’s Inquiry into Women’s Pain offers a unique perspective shaped by our long-standing relationships with diverse communities in the region. It draws on our close collaboration with grassroots organisations and communities serving women with disabilities; women from migrant and refugee backgrounds; and those facing social, cultural and economic barriers to accessing pain management and culturally appropriate, accessible healthcare services. We look forward to the recommendations from this Inquiry being implemented in a way that responds to the lived experiences of women from diverse backgrounds and with diverse experiences of pain.
