This morning Yandal Resources released an announcement highlighting the results and impact of the recently completed soil sampling program at the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project. The Yandal Resources Ltd exploration team has enhanced some exceptional, large-scale emerging gold targets by re-evaluating historic datasets following a detailed review of past exploration. In early June, the Company completed a preliminary interpretation of ground gravity data collected across the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project within the Yandal Greenstone Belt of Western Australia. The interpretation delineated several new early-stage conceptual targets in an area with limited previous exploration. The exploration team has since completed a detailed review of previous drilling across the targets, including the digital re-capture of several historic drilling datasets. The encouraging results highlight several large-scale low-level gold saprolite anomalies coincident with the conceptual gravity-derived structural targets, and the team has commenced the preparations to drill test these targets. All results have now been released for the 2024 RC drilling Program at the Oblique Prospect. The Prospect is part of the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project, located in the Yandal Greenstone Belt of Western Australia. Results have successfully confirmed the geometry and broad mineralisation continuity within the OBL01 structure. In addition to this, drilling to the north has identified an OBL01-like structure. Diamond drilling is progressing well, with four of five planned diamond holes now complete at Oblique. Observations from diamond drilling suggest several styles of veining and alteration within a sequence dominated by alternating fine-grained andesite and intermediate tuff. The preliminary interpretations from our ground gravity survey across the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project within the Yandal Greenstone Belt of Western Austral have been released. The interpretation highlights several new early-stage conceptual targets in an area with limited previous exploration. Key highlights from the interpretation include: > The recognition of a large-scale north plunging Caladan fold, truncated to the south by a newly recognised structure, this structural architecture is similar to some well-known gold districts. It presents a compelling exploration target for the Yandal Team. > Improved geological resolution around the Irulan dolerite/basalt complex, bracketed by a volcano-sedimentary sequence and proximal to major shear zones. This geological setting sharing many similarities to Northern Star's (ASX: NST) Jundee group of deposits. Results from the RC drilling program will be returned over the coming weeks.
