I'm thrilled to share that I'll be a speaker at this year's #AISA Australian Cyber Conference in #Melbourne. It's such an honour to be on the lineup alongside great keynote speakers like former #NASA astronaut Jose M. Hernandez, former Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement Kal Penn, and cybersecurity expert Mikko Hypponen.   Under the theme "Future is Now", my session "Unmasking supply chain cyber threats: Critical insights for business executives" will explore the urgent need for organisations to strengthen the cybersecurity of their supply chains. I'll share with business leaders practical strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate the growing threats to their supply chain. I'm grateful for the support from the leadership team at Bunnings for allowing me to step away from my day-to-day to share insights 💡 with business and industry leaders at this prestigious event. Join us at the 🏨 Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Nov 26-28 for this must-attend conference. Check out the full program on the event website: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gZqGWP-C

'24 Women to Watch in Leadership | '23 Agenda Setter of the Year Finalist | Institutional Banker | NFP President | Changemaker | Community Leader | State Gov Advisor | Podcaster | Aspiring Screenwriter | Bad Gal

I shan't keep you in suspense any longer! I'm beyond excited to announce that I will be presenting my session - Lonely At the Top - Women in Executive Leadership at this year's edition of SXSW Sydney! I'll be joined by some amazing trailblazing women Ursula Dyer Lepporoli and Shirley Chowdhary as we have a raw and honest conversation about the struggles and triumphs of the pursuit of the Exec life as a woman. The session is inspired by the overwhelming response I received after my Women's Agenda article on my trepidation on pursuing the C-Suite life. Many of you resonated with my sentiments and multiple discussions ensued since then. So I'm bringing the conversation to a bigger platform so we can learn and grow together! To say this is a dream come true would be a lie, because this is beyond my wildest imagination! A very special shoutout to Gloria Yuen who is an absolute Girl's Girl and been my cheerleader and support behind the scenes! Eternally grateful for helping me bring this to life! Save the session to schedule by clicking the link below! See you in Sydney!!!🤗🤗🤗 https://lnkd.in/grGbeZhm For those that missed the article you can read the article here https://lnkd.in/gfmCctGu #WomeninLeadership #WomenOnBoards #DiverseLeadership #GenderEquity #InclusiveLeadership #swxswsydney2024

The Investment Scams Educator | Financial Educator | Speaker | Commentator | Panellist | Writer | Founder | CEO | Curator at Herconomics | Women Changing the World Award Winner | Co-Author of Women Leading the Way

Hey lovelies the Albanese Government have opened up their Draft Scams Prevention Framework legislation for public consultation. The Framework establishes scam prevention principles in legislation that will guide industry‑specific, mandatory obligations on designated sectors. The principles create obligations to Prevent; Detect; Report; Disrupt; and Respond to scams, and to establish governance systems accordingly. What I like about this proposed scams prevention framework is a focus on the wider ecosystem and not just heaping all responsibility on the banks. I have always hated that narrow simplistic and quite frankly unfair one sided focus. Banks are an important part of a bigger ecosystem with telcos, social media platforms, messaging platforms, crypto platforms, SEO companies, dating sites, gift card companies and wire transfer companies to name some of the main ones that need to be held accountable. All cogs in the scam ecosystem have to be held accountable when they have not put relevant processes, systems and tech in place to stop scammers. According to the announcement the Minister will initially designate banks, telcos, and a range of digital platform services related to social media, paid search engine advertising and direct messaging services. This is a good start but I would like them to quickly add other key players of this ecosystem like dating sites, crypto platforms, gift card companies and wire transfer companies to name a few for greater impact. Exposure draft legislation and explanatory materials can be found on the Treasury website at below link. https://lnkd.in/gpNe6my5 For those interested in giving feedback before the final bill is introduced to Parliament note that submissions will remain open until 4 October 2024. Interested parties are encouraged to share their feedback which I definitely intend to do. This feedback will shape the development of a final bill for introduction to Parliament later this year. ************************************************ Hey lovelies thanks for stopping by I post weekly about investment scams and scams in general. My main focus being the importance of consistent scam awareness of the public.
