The Andrew Craig Engineering Scholarship has been established as part of a Flavourtech Pty Ltd initiative to support students who are based in the Western Riverina region. This scholarship program aims to invest in local talent and reduce the financial barriers for those enrolling in undergraduate /pathway studies at TAFE NSW or a university of choice. We've been a little quiet on social media of late. This is exactly why! Throughout August and September, GOO was proud to deliver a huge 2024 Industry Tour Itinerary to our local Riverina high schools. We have now spent October linking the students that participated in these tours to the GOO member organisations they visited, to further discuss Work Experience and employment opportunities. Flying High with the Temora Recruitment Summit! ✈️ ✈ ✈ Excited to share the soaring success of the Recruitment Summit held at Temora, where we didn't just think outside the box—we took it to the hangar! Hosting the event above the iconic Temora Aviation Museum Inc hangar added a unique twist, reminding us that the sky’s the limit when it comes to innovative recruitment & retention strategies. With 11 engaging presentations and a fantastic turnout of employers, together we explored how this beautiful regional town can attract & retain more diverse talent, from school students to trainees & apprentices, migrants and active job seekers. A special shout-out to Ruth, who did a spectacular job as the MC, and to Nicola and Craig for their exceptional work in organizing every detail of the event. The #NSW_GROW resonated strongly with the attendees, and it was fantastic to see my colleagues Nicole and Amanda effectively convey to employers how Grow Our Own, Designated Area Migration Agreements, and Jobs Riverina Murray within the RDA Riverina workforce development plan are making a real difference. Together we showcased how our initiatives are benefiting and will continue to support our regional employers, business growth & economic development. #NSW_GROW is a key partner for this event.
