2023 Tata Nexon
The top seller for Tata Motors, the Nexon has been in the market since 2017 plying in the populated sub-compact SUV space and used its cuopue-ish design language to make it stand out from others. With the 2023 alteration of the Nexon, Tata has made tech improvements while also adding a sharp design language to make the SUV look more futuristic. The 2023 Tata Nexon is priced the vehicle between Rs 8.10 lakh ex- showroom and Rs 15.50 lakh, and is available in both petrol and diesel powertrain options.
The 2023 Tata Nexon is available in 11 variants - Smart, Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+, Creative+ S, Fearless, Fearless S and Fearless+ S, and is available in seven colour options which includes - Fearless Purple, Creative Ocean, Flame Red, Pure Grey, Daytona Grey, Pristine White, and Calgary White.
Some of the highlights on the outside include split LED headlamps, a redesigned grille, front and rear LED light bars, new front and rear bumpers, 16-inch alloy wheels, Y- shaped LED taillights, and vertically stacked reverse light and reflector housings.
Meanwhile, the redesigned sub-four-meter SUV's interior gets touch controls for the air conditioning system, an electric sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen entertainment system, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a two-spoke steering wheel with backlit Tata emblem, 9-speaker JBL sound system with a subwoofer and Harman-enhanced AudioworX. In addition, it gets a redesigned gear lever, ventilated and height-adjustable front seats, purple upholstery, cruise control and a fully digital instrument cluster.
The Tata Nexon is available with a 1.5-liter diesel engine linked with a six-speed manual or an AMT unit, as well as a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine paired with five-speed manual, six-speed manual, AMT, and seven-speed DCT units. The 1.5-liter diesel unit produces 111 bhp and offers 260 Nm of torque, while the petrol mill can produce 116 bhp and offers 170 Nm of torque.
In terms of safety, Nexon gets 6 airbags (as standard), ABS with EBD, hill assist, electronic stability program (ESP), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a 360- degree camera.
In the Indian car market, Tata Nexon takes on its rival such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Mahindra XUV300.
