𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐮𝐛𝐚 The new ecological vegetation map of Aruba highlights the island's urgent conservation needs. Recently, ACF hosted an informational evening for the community, where experts presented the map and research conducted by Carmabi in collaboration with Wageningen University & Research. This map provides a detailed view of how Aruba’s natural landscape has evolved over the past 50 years and outlines the necessary steps to preserve its biodiversity. Attended by over 70 community members, the evening featured presentations by biologists John de Freitas and Erik Houtepen, along with the ACF conservation team. Thank you to the Dutch Caribbean Nature Alliance, for making this evening possible. ACF will continue its reforestation efforts, using its existing seed bank to plant native trees near the Visitor Center in Parke Nacional Arikok. Additionally, ACF will keep collecting data and collaborating with organizations dedicated to restoring and conserving Aruba’s natural environment. - Click here for presentation: https://bit.ly/4evVN06 - Click here to read the report: http://bit.ly/3ArRcOU #TogetherForNature
