About us

REIC is non-profit, non-governmental organisation founded in 2005. Located in Sarajevo, lunched as integral part of the regional training project scheme (EESD - Environmental Education for Sustainable Development) for the Adriatic-Ionian basin. The project was funded by Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, implemented by UNESCO-Venice office in partnership with University of Sarajevo, University of Bologna and Institute for Central, Eastern and Balkan Europe. REIC is set up as a nucleus for environmental education and the regional integration practices. Main objective is to identify environmental problems and needs, along with enhancement of educational initiatives. REIC is situated in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) but its operational span covers region of Southeast Europe - SEE (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia) in cooperation with international networks.
