At the recent conference on rural and adventure tourism in the Western Balkan countries held in Montenegro, #USAIDTurizam presented its successful initiatives and activities in this rapidly growing tourism segment, implemented together with partners from across Bosnia and Herzegovina. Organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the conference brought together representatives from the public and private tourism sectors, as well as international organizations, to share best practices and success stories from adventure and rural tourism in the #WesternBalkans. Fedja Begovic, USAID Turizam Chief of Party, showcased initiatives aimed at enhancing and developing key skills for workers in these sectors, such as the Pathways to Professionalism on-the-job training program and the TedQual Certification for Excellence in Higher Education in Tourism (UN Tourism). The presentation also included the Turizam Academy, an online learning platform offering free courses in tourism https://lnkd.in/eNgA6bP, along with the initiatives The Most Beautiful Villages of BiH and Herzegovina Wine Route. Conference participants had the opportunity to discuss future collaborations between Western Balkan countries to promote sustainability, workforce development, and increase the inclusion and participation of women in the adventure and rural tourism sectors. ** Na nedavno održanoj konferenciji o ruralnom i avanturističkom turizmu u zemljama Zapadnog Balkana u Crnoj Gori, #USAID Turizam je predstavio svoje uspješne inicijative i aktivnosti u ovom brzo rastućem segment turizma, koje se realizuju s partnerima iz cijele BiH (Privredna/Gospodarska komora Federacije Bosne i Hercegovine, Privredna komora Republike Srpske, JU Srednjoškolski centar Hadžići, Ekonomski fakultet u Tuzli, Vanjskotrgovinska - Spoljnotrgovinska komora BiH). Organizatori konferencije, Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) i Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, okupili su predstavnike javnog i privatnog sektora turizma i međunarodnih organizacija, kako bi podijelili najbolje prakse i uspješne priče iz avanturističkog i ruralnog turizma u Zapadnom Balkanu. Fedja Begovic, direktor projekta USAID Turizam, predstavio je inicijative koje unapređuju i razvijaju ključne vještine radnika u ovim sektorima kao što su Profi program obuka na radnom mjestu i TedQual certifikat za izvrsnost u visokom obrazovanju u turizmu. Također, predstavljena je Turizam Academy https://lnkd.in/eNgA6bP , edukativna platforma sa besplatnim kursevima u turizmu, te inicijative Najljepša sela BiH i Vinska cesta Hercegovine.
