D2O is proud to announce that GoodEarth Apparels Limited has received #LEEDZero CARBON certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED Zero certification goes above and beyond, recognizing net zero achievement. We are thrilled that this is not just the first LEED Zero Carbon project in Bangladesh but also the first ever LEED ZERO project in Bangladesh within any category. Key highlights of this achievement include: 🌿Energy Efficiency: High-efficiency HVAC systems and LED lighting. 🌎 Sustainable Site Practices: High-reflecting roof, restoring vegetation, rainwater management, etc. 🚰 Water Conservation: Low-flow fixtures, wastewater recycling, water-efficient landscaping. 🏗️ Materials: Use of locally sourced and recycled building materials. 🌬️ Indoor Environmental Quality: Enhanced ventilation, low VOC paints and adhesives, daylighting, and quality views. ♻️ Waste Management: Robust recycling and waste management practices. ☀️ Solar-based Renewable Energy: 1009 kW Solar PV system, net metering, and grid export of solar electricity. 🌱 Carbon Offsetting: Investment in verified carbon offset projects to neutralize any remaining carbon emissions.
